  1. You could try one of the places on Starbeck Avenue then head down to Ouseburn too. My mate reckons the Small Canteen is class, although I think they basically do one meat and one veg main course per day. Then there’s Scream for Pizza, as per Gemmill, which is quality. Little Lobo too. I bet they’re all shut too. The chippy used to be class as well if all else fails (not been in years like).
  2. Closed today though. Can’t recall ever going into town on an Easter Monday like (unless there was a match on). I would imagine it’s dead as a dodo if there isn’t a game on though.
  3. I was going to say the Grainger Market but I think it shuts at half five. Mantra Thai is really nice with lots of veggie options. It’s at Forth Banks (what used to be the Waterside Palace).
  4. Miley out injured now on top of those
  5. “I always put my address as County Durham” is a good one. What are you getting out of that exactly?
  6. The one thing Exile had left to cling on to was the length of time since Newcastle had beaten Sunderland. With that no longer being the case he’s complete lost it. That’s me assuming he wasn’t a better player than a current Brazil international when he was in his mid 20s though
  7. The fucking state of that post, man
  8. I think the main issue with our friend Keith is their being more dense than a neutron star
  9. Toney’s assist for the equaliser was sensational. Such a difficult ball to control, then great feet with several players around him and the vision to get his head up and pick the player out.
  10. It says British but we really know it’s for southern softies
  11. Forgot about that. Basically ripping off Top Gun iirc. Although Top Gun ripped off quite a lot of The Right Stuff
  12. I don’t see why we can’t combine them
  13. Well, I’ll explain. The Catholic Church deemed all sorts of different things to not be meat that was meat. As you're not supposed to eat meat during Lent. So if you lived on whichever remote Scottish archipelago it was (can’t remember off the top of my head) puffin formed a large part of the diet at this time of year. So, instead of people starving, puffin was counted as ‘fish’, not meat. The link here is you eat fish on Good Friday and Renton tried puffin on holiday (Iceland? Norway?) once. I think. If that didn’t need an explanation then GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HEAD, please
  14. No doubt you’ll have been on the deep fried puffin. There’s two references there and I think you’re the only one who’d get one of them
  15. Aye. Firmly in “I’d rather poke mesel in the eye with a shitty stick” territory
  16. Some channel is bound to be showing The Greatest Story Ever Told. They better start it now if they want it to be finished by Easter Sunday
