  1. I don't even own a bike and walk loads and I think they are often their own worst enemies in terms of pissing other road (and path) users off but the provision for people using bikes as an alternative form of transport in the UK is a joke. Especially as it can only be a good thing if more and more people do it.
  2. After he went back to Northants after Essex released him he played a couple of first class games last season (but did fuck all) and played a bit for the 2nd XI.
  3. Cycling should be encouraged rather than the half-arsed attempts such as making cyclists share bus lanes.
  4. It's a shame about Panesar because he'd easily be the best bowler out of the current spin options.
  5. As I understand it (and I don't especially, if I'm being honest) it's more about a journey to personal enlightenment than worshipping Buddha himself, although the statues and so on do give him a status you could equate with being a deity I suppose.
  6. The Champagne houses will be quaking in their boots. Reminds me a bit of the woman at work who voted to leave and who loves going abroad and keeps complaining about the shit exchange rate.
  7. I wasn't disagreeing with you but maybe he's a bit underrated as a bowler and recent performances suggest he's getting better. He strikes me as the sort of lad who would work at his craft too. And he's not that old, especially for a spinner.
  8. He's greedy as fuck when it comes to money though. That's the whole reason he lost the England job.
  9. Here's a quirky little fact: he's currently ranked higher (25th as opposed to 29th) as a bowler than he is as a batsman in the ICC Test rankings.
  10. My grandfather died fighting for the rights of people like me to express racist views
  11. Did you hear the one about the politically correct ex-squaddie?
  12. It's fucking scary the amount of people who you see doing it when you walk around. I never realised they were all foreign though
  13. That's what it's meant to be about. That doesn't alter the fact it's been politicised by some. I don't really agree with Fifa's decision however. At the same time, I think the FA should have looked into it privately. They've made it somewhat 'political' by going public with it before Fifa's decision.
  14. I think the use of it as a symbol of nationalism goes beyond those fringe groups, sadly
  15. Poppies have been politicised now. Some veterans even refuse to wear them.

    New Phone

Reminds me of the time Fop misspelt Gemmill and instead of just admitting it pretended it was some clever pun that he refused to explain.
  17. I suppose the former at least has the potential to be funny
  18. It was fucking ridiculous taking Hameed and not playing him. I can see why they played Duckett, after the ODIs but in that case he should've played instead of Ballance who'd arguably already had too many chances. Hameed will probably now get thrown in at the deep end against India which seems unfair.
  19. If they think Duckett can open then surely he can bat at 3. Root hasn't been as good there as at 4 or 5 (and he's been significantly worse but for that 254 flattering his figures at 3).
