Too busy turning out for Brazil šš»

The somewhat forgotten man, Roland Ratzenburger, died in a horrific crash in practice the day before too.

I think itās been said before but, even if you got ridiculous money for him then you couldnāt just go out and get a striker of his calibre who would want to come. Because players like that want to play in the CL and genuinely challenge for honours. We havenāt yet proven thatās where we are or that itās an inevitability in the short term. And you donāt just want to sign someone whoās done it, is no longer hungry and is just looking for a big final payday. Heās basically irreplaceable at the minute

The fucking gall of that shyster

Thatās the fella

Ian Levy? Set to lose by a country mile the newly created seat of Cramlington and Killingworth. He sent some stuff out a while back that made ridiculous promises (actually letās call them what they are - lies) about the local funding he would secure if Tory councillors got in at these elections. It made fucking mental reading. Can you think of someone with less influence in Westminster than one of single term āred wallā Tories? Heās not even controversial or particularly offensive. Just another Johnson arselicker set to become a nobody again.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Apparently thereās a fly on the wall documentary being made (filming started in January) about Kloppās final months at Liverpool. But no streaming service has picked it up yet. I donāt know about anyone else but I would definitely watch it -
The mackems have shown proper relegation form (or bad luck) for months now.
-
Yeah, theyāll definitely have plenty candidates for the actual general election
-
Itās odd because theyāre killing the Tories. As ewerk points out theyāll get a larger vote share than the Lib Demās but will get zero seats compared to their predicted 50 or so. Reform will have sone candidates with skeletons in their closet but I think theyāre essentially a protest vote for people who are massive cunts so it wonāt matter. If the right wing press goes after them to try and get votes back to the Tories itāll scupper any chance of them not fielding candidates. Although I donāt think thatās on the cards anyway atm. Sunak is just clinging onto his final days as PM now. Has there been any talk of another leadership challenge? Even that seems completely pointless and possibly even counterproductive in terms of gaining votes

That blocked up nose eventually finished him off

Look, heās a highly intelligent, well-informed chap. If you donāt believe me, watch this:

NFC is what they label patients at the Freeman who come from that part of the world (Normal for Cumbria/Carlisle).

I think I heard on the news that the criminal damage bit relates to the damage caused to Hadrianās Wall when they felled the tree.

I got the candidate literature through for the combined authorities mayoral election. They each get the chance to submit a statement of what theyāre about, policies etc. The Reform Party candidate didnāt even bother doing one. Iāve also noticed none of the Tory stuff Iāve seen ahead of the local elections has any party branding on whatsoever. Why would you even bother standing for a party whilst acknowledging the association with them is poison to most voters?

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Aye. You see it with my eldest playing junior football. You do actually get sone young kids who are decent but you also get ones who are little knobs getting their own back. Itās adults too but at that level / age group you get a lot of kids who are still at school. I actually think the oddest ones are when they clearly have zero interest in being there beyond getting their expenses -

Aye and you probably need to be already dedicated to becoming a ref when you would otherwise be playing junior football if you ever hope to make it as a PL-level official. It takes that long to progress through the ranks -
I did wonder like

Genuinely laughing out loud at this btw

Thatās a parody account taking the piss out of the group with the same name, which was definitely not a copy of Wor Flags. Which then folded
-
Itās also the classic mackem cycle of make something up, start believing it and then get annoyed about it

The County Durham thing again! What fucking convoluted point are they making now? Itās a Tyneside folk song in which all of the people and events in it take place on Tyneside. The whole of my life and for a long time before itās been associated with NUFC (and no other football club, bar altered versions). The only County Durham things to do with the song are the bloke who wrote it being from Gateshead (which used to be in that county) and the destination of Blaydon (ditto). But both of those places are overwhelmingly black and white anyway. Do they not think itās significant that theyāre travelling from and through Newcastle (as opposed to say, for example, Sunderland)? They are absolutely tapped, man

I see the government are still steadfastly refusing to reveal Cameronās financial / business interests. This is where the ministerial code isnāt fit for purpose. If youāre just obliged to do it by something like that, as opposed to a statutory requirement, then a government like this will just ignore it.
