Canny centre-half, dodgy fullback.

I think he's done ok tbh. One clanger which can happen to anyone. Also you can't replicate 1st team experience. As for Krul, he had a blinder away to Palermo in the UEFA Cup iirc, but it was one of those games a keeper sometimes has where they make some great instinctive stops. He still wasn't deemed ready for the Premier League for years after that.

Everything I've heard in the past suggests he has no interest in the job
-
Probably picks the side anyway but I think the club would need dispensation since he hasn't got the coaching qualifications
-
You've come a long way since John Andersongate, Thomas
-
Re: the manager it's shades of Chris Hughton in the sense that if Carver is offered the job for more than two games it'll be on the understanding he'll have to work with the coaches ( ) already at his disposal and the extra responsibility not meaning an increase in his low salary.

It was joke. You do come across as desperately trying to be cool though. And don't play the offended wallflower act. As usual you're attempting to sate your 'voracious' appetite for attention. If you can somehow work out how to do that without coming across as a complete fucking weirdo you might even make the odd friend.

Gene, it's a bit rich trying to take the moral high ground and trying to act all mature after when you've just called my a peado. Even more so when you deleted the post straight afterwards.

I bet space on your pencil case is hard to come by.
-
Well, that was subtle.
-
I was going to tape that and send it to Bumfights.

Aye, I know he's ex-palace but his wanting to go there does speak volumes about the state of our club.

Just thought of another one: Rusty Lee

He could've held onto him if he'd wanted to. The owner clearly saw the appeal in getting a decent wedge for compensation. That was the whole idea of giving him the 8 year contract anyway (as he'd just win manager of the year). His payoff wasn't his full contract if he got the bullet though.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Alex replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Probably a combination of less pressure and more money. Ex-player as well. The latter being less of a factor- 10610 replies

Ben Arfa will be pleased I'm guessing this means pedro wasn't interested in the job, which was always what I'd heard in the past, ie the academy bring the limit of his ambition.- 10610 replies

Slight overreaction there

Not sure how Palace being willing to pay the compensation for Pardew makes some people assume the club sale could be imminent. Don't see the link myself. I think it's just Ashley pouncing on an opportunity to make a bit of money.

Look man, apart from being an idiotic ignoramus you resent the way someone has actually done something incredibly brave and selfless. You've never done anything that courageous and you never will. Neither will I but at least I dint need to sneer at those who have to try and make myself feel better about that. And save the faux concern about the jocks for someone who doesn't know what a racist you are, eh?
-
The only thing I would say to that is can you honestly hand on heart say there's a single move made by Ashley in respect of managerial appointments / sackings that you you or anyone else who wasn't itk could've called in advance? I think it's absolutely impossible to predict what he might do based on past experience. I do tend to think he'll appoint from within the club on short term basis though (ie until the summer). I base that on there being well over 3 sides worse than us and the decent amount of points (from a survival point of view) that we already have in the bank. I reckon that'll be how Ashley looks at it. Who knows with him though?

Should be 'match' rather than 'game'
-
It's a bit like with Ashley, ie the notion we should be thankful to have such a 'prudent' owner. Let's see if his involvement with Rangers gets a similar portrayal.

Alf Garnett back from the dead

If he's been doing as good a job as the media keep telling us deluded Geordies then how come the first job offer he's had is a desperate Crystal Palace (especially when you consider how long he's been here)?
