Also can’t believe no one has yet mentioned he was up before the beak

At least he turned up at the magistrates’ court in his best gear to make a good impression

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Well he didn’t have anywhere else to go. I have little doubt he’s regretting it already -

The story goes (I think) he had covid before the World Cup. He fully recovered but got another bad virus returning from the World Cup. It could be he got a bad case of flu which wiped him out. It was years ago now but the most I’ll I’ve ever been was from a bout of the flu and it was probably about two months before I was back to my normal weight etc.

The fact we’ve gotten to a cup final and are in the mix for a CL spot has served to mask what a massive work in progress we are. We’re only two transfer windows into the new ownership. Before that we were absolute fucking dog shit and a knocking bet to go down

20/20 hindsight re: Dubravka. The only error is letting him go without the obligation to buy. The rest is like blaming Howe for playing Pope v Liverpool or not subbing Bruno off a minute before his red card. You can’t legislate for shit like that, man.

I think it was all the correct things to do looking at the medium term. Maybe not the best purely for this season but correct all the same. Another part of Ashley’s legacy is having to make these tough decisions to fix things. It’s different from Howe’s pov. We’d all love him to be here in 10 years but the here and now is what makes and breaks managers so he’s looking at it from a slightly different view to the hierarchy

Aye. I remember that too. Damned for being a regular teenaged lass

I’ve had that vibe from the very rare bits I’ve caught. As I can’t bear to watch it and haven’t been able to for years. That’s worse than I imagined though. Fortunately nobody seems to watch it anymore. Not that that remotely justifies it

The Calormen are a cruel race that worship a bloodthirsty deity (Tash). They come from a southern country next to a desert, have scimitars as a weapon, are dark skinned and have long beards Aslan is quite obviously Jesus too

I loved The Chronicles of Narnia as a kid but I realised years ago there’s (very thinly) veiled Islamophobia running through any of the novels featuring Calormen. I’m surprised more isn’t made of it as it’s so blatant
