  1. i quite enjoy it when we win. quietly smiling to myself amid the seething home supporters.] also, i had a cracking view of the game, unlike last time i went and sat in the upper tier of the away end, which requires binoculars
  2. my best mate is a west ham fan. he comes up and sits with me in the home end at SJP too. or at least, he used to. it was an annual tradition until the ridiculous ballot system made it almost impossible to get two tickets together
  3. they out xg'd us by more than a goal. 3-1 felt about right give how abject we were second half
  4. first half was quite even, i felt. we had a few good chances though i didn't like how we invited pressure after taking the lead. second half was shambolic. we looked completely useless going forwards and vulnerable every time they broke on us
  5. unfortunately it's brentford away next before man city at home. we need to play much better to take three points from brentford
  6. plus you never know when he's going to go off
  7. we deserved to lose. that isn't up for debate. it's up there with leeds as our worst performance of the season.
  8. anyone heard why trippier wasn't in the squad? or why big nick was hooked at half term? i'm hoping neither are injuried
  9. Ah man, that was such a frustrating afternoon. Especially as I was sat behind enemy lines. The atmosphere in there was non existent and if we’d got that second goal, it would have turned toxic and we could have buried them. I can’t figure out why we were so passive after scoring yet again away from home. They were there to be beaten if we put the foot on the throat while on top. Instead we sit back and invite pressure. That must come from the manager. I don’t know how he fixes it. He’s the football manager and knows a lot more than I do but surely we would have a better chance if we approach the game like we do at home - play positively for longer periods and try to kill games off instead of trying to be pragmatic. It doesn’t suit us.
  10. I’m behind enemy lines today. In the home end with my West Ham mate. Hoping for a toxic atmosphere
  11. He’s hardly going to move back to a farmer’s league now he’s had a taste of the big time
  12. Newsflash: lots of people like Nigel Farage
  13. How can a random stabbing spree on a train be anything but a terrorist attack?
  14. stronger squad and a stronger team on the season so far given Nick and the rat’s respective form
  15. his unwillingness to rotate and tendency to overuse favourites in the past has been eddie's biggest weakness but it's one he seems to be putting to bed this season. he's helped, of course, by having a much stronger squad.
