Gordon and an in-form Rashford are a couple of good options for LW. TBH England are blessed with depth across the squad. Midfield, where we have historically looked disjointed, looks balanced with Anderson alongside Rice. And you have Wharton who can also come in. The struggle we’ve often had in major tournaments is retaining the ball to control games against the better sides and those three can all keep possession and pass it forwards. The main obstacle will be the heat. I’m not sure we’ll have the energy to press hard and win it back playing in 35 degree heat and high humidity if we have to play a lot of games in Mexico.

is that from a Liverpool board?

yeah, you're probably right. at least the slaughter has stopped (for now). for all of trump's disgusting fawning over netanyahu in the knesset, i think he's fucked off with him in private. he forced this deal through seemingly out of nowhere. netanyahu's most important allies in government, the cunts who want to annex the west bank and turn gaza into a middle east riviera, all hate it. that has to be a good thing.

looked like it came off his shoulder.

real tories hate farage's populist spending plans.

i find myself in an unusual and awkward position. if this sticks, trump has pulled something off biden didn't dare try and he deserves to be congratulated (regardless of his intentions). the only way the slaughter was going to end was if the yanks told bibi to stop. it could have happened ages ago but bibi's strike on qatar fucked trump off - and he really wants that nobel peace prize. what happens next is hard to predict. will hamas disarm? will israseli troops withdraw? will palestinian technocrats be able to take control of gaza if hamas remains in place? (seems unlikely) i can't see how this international peace-keeping force works either. it'll be made up of predominantly arab nations - are they going to fight hamas on behalf of israel? (again, unlikely) if it does stick, it is a significant achievement for trump. at least the levelling of gaza has stopped. i sincerely hope it works and it leads to some kind of path to a two state solution. (the only way there is ever going to be peace). but we only get there without hamas and without the far-right governing israel. the occupation of parts of the west bank and east jerusalem and the end of the illegal settlements only ends when this israeli government falls. my hope from all of this is smotrich and co withdraw their support for bibi and his government collapses. there is no chance of a long-term peace (despite what trump says) with these cunts still calling the shots.

lots of compliments i've been to stratford many times - no one ever says anything to anyone they don't know. people don't even make eye contact with strangers man. but fair play to the mackems - they're clearly on course to win the most-liked club trophy.

it's absolutely brutal. my best friend lost his six year old daughter after an operation went wrong about this time last year. things are just as bad for them now as they were in the immediate aftermath of her death. they've had to retreat from trying to do 'normal' things because everything is a reminder of how their lives will never be normal again. just seeing friends go about their lives is enough to remind them of what they have lost. i don't know how you ever get over that.

We’ve been eating bread for centuries. Real bread has three ingredients (two if you’re eating sourdough). Bread is not to blame for the recent spike in heart disease, cancer and obesity. I didn’t watch the video but bread and rice can absolutely be incorporated into a healthy diet and lifestyle.

no. Haven’t read it. I’ve watched quite a few of his videos though and I like what he has to say

I don’t think it would be a mass exodus. Plus there are things you could do do mitigate it, such as an expatriation tax. Entirely different to Truss’s mini budget of unfunded tax cuts. So no
-
a wealth tax isn’t going to spook the bond vigilantes the way Truss’s unfunded tax cuts did. You’re comparing apples with pears

Have you listened to Gary Stephenson’s stuff? He’s pretty convincing
-
He’s proposed a tax of 1% on the assets of multimillionaires and 2% on billionaires. He’s the only politician brave enough to suggest he might implement the ideas Stephenson has been promoting. Labour want nothing to do with it but are happy to raise taxes on working people. He’s talking about making the 1% pay a higher share - it could add an extra £15-20bn to our public finances. If that’s populism, sign me up. I don’t think capital flight is something politicians should be running scared from. An expatriation tax could deter the super rich from moving their like overseas. Unfortunately I think Labour are handcuffed by wealthy donors who oppose this sort of move precisely because they’d be affected by it.

Zack Polanski is starting to make waves. Exactly the sort of voice the left needs. He and Gary Stephenson could be the future of left wing politics this country needs

Sean Casey is worth a follow (the online coach not the ITK wanker). I pretty much adhere to his principles. Don’t completely cut out the foods you really enjoy or demonise them because it never works long term and you make life miserable. Instead try to incorporate them into a sensible plan you can stick to. For example, I love bread, pasta and rice and hated low carb diets for that reason. But there is nothing wrong with any of those foods and it’s wrong to suggest otherwise. I eat sourdough and pasta or rice every day and make pizza ever weekend and I have never been in better shape. That’s because I understand that losing or maintaining body fat is about portion control and macronutrients. If you’re eating roughly 30g of protein with every meal, plus one snack - while sticking to your deficit or maintenance calories - you can’t go wrong.
