We've been really lucky with injuries all season until now, hence the unexpected good run. It's obvious to everyone that our squad is one of the weakest in the league. Good first team aye but the lack of quality in reserve is clear as day. This was always going to happen. It's just a surprise - and a relief - that we've already got so many points on the board before it did. The question now is whether mike is encouraged to invest in the team come January to plug the gaps in the hope we might grab a European spot or whether - as most of us suspect - he spends next to fuck all again, perhaps selling another key player or two along the way - as we're already more than half there to securing premier league status. I'd love for him to prove us wrong and show some ambition for once but he's done nowt to suggest he'll do otherwise. I expect no major signings in jan plus an offer we couldn't refuse for one of tiote or colo.

what's the beef with everyone? don't get it. i'd rather read something like this than the majority of threads on here that inevitably descend into the same tired "debate". back to the op, i think tiote has the potential to be a far better player. it's surely only a matter of time that one of the big ambitious clubs makes us an offer mike can't refuse. no coincidence that our slump coincided with his absence. i think there's a good chance we'd have got more from the difficult recent run of fixtures with him in the team.

shame about guthrie like. he has impressed since coming back to the side. probably his best run of form in the premier league for us.

my big xmas party is usually quite funny. about six to eight hundred people who never mix all rubbing shoulders together in the spirit of the christmas piss up. it's funny seeing old hacks rubbing shoulders with pr and commercial staff. all the free booze and canapes you can stomach. it's always funny when you spot the old boy reporter you always thought was a bit straight laced doing the bump and grind with one of the young hotties from the comms team at 2am. i love this time of year at work. this week is the last proper week of graft. next week it's all liquid lunches and fucking to the pub early. no one wants to be in the office and we all fuck off early unless something massive breaks.

my sister in law had hers up last week of november. madness. she calls me the grinch because i don't want to celebrate christmas all bastard year around. i don't want it shoved down my throat from the middle of autumn ffs; spoils it. christmas for me starts the week before the 25th when there's fuck all to do at work and everyone's coming in with hangovers or disappearing for liquid lunches, and goes through through till january 1st. that's when the tree should come down and we collectively feel miserable about the year ahead back at work and the amount of fat we need to shift after a 10 day booze and food-athon.

a girl i grew up with gave up work to adopt a child and get back on benefits. she hated her job and felt she would rather raise a second child as a single mother. she argued she would be doing a more valuable job, arguab;ly a more difficult job, but one which she enjoyed more. i'm not sure if her actual job paid more or less than she'd get on benefits. controversial or not? is she a benefit scrounger or someone using the system in the right way?

Where did I say he wasn't a great fighter? He's amazing against certain types of styles but put him in with someone with counter punching ability and movement and he's flawed. apologies, i was sure you said that but reading back through the thread i guess you didn't.

you don't top the list of the world's best pound for pound if you're not a great fighter. i'd love to see him get it on with mayweather. i honestly couldn't call which way it would go. i'm not sure mayweather could either, hence why the fight hasn't happened. all this calling him out for jucing is a crock of shit. he could make the fight happen if he wants.
