i'm like that with velvet. it's my kryptonite - i literally can't touch it.
  2. those 4 points dropped in the two games before fulham could come back to haunt us like.
  3. r taylor injured i'm afraid. you'd have to throw perch into the mix
  4. when's ben arfa back? we need him asap
  5. we're going to have to revert to playing 5-4-1 with nolan tucked in behind the frotn man. anyone know how long shola's out for? i think he's the only striker on the books that can play that lone striker role right now.
  6. hell no! there's no guarantee we'd bounce straight back up again. and going down didn't get rid of him last time dd it?
  7. fuck me i don't know whether to laugh or cry. the alarming thing is he probably wouldn't do any worse than the other lot.
  8. where the fuck did all these pro mubarak protestors come from all of a sudden? blatantly instigated by plain clothed security forces trying to kick things off to hold the main protestors back, and at worst start a civil war. the most alarming thing to come out of a new democracy in eqypt would be the rise of the muslim brotherhood. the last thing the region needs is an egypt run by a bunch of islamist fruitcases.
  9. I've enjoyed this season so far despite Ashleys best efforts to fuck it up. Plenty of time still for it all to go tits up
  10. thats pretty much how I see it. Thank fuck we've already got 30 points on the board and a run of home games that are winnable before the end of the season. I'm not taking anything for granted on last nights evidence though. With such a complete lack of presence up front, we could get pulled right back in the shit.
  11. Renton, I'm just going on what I saw. We had nothing to aim at all night. Ranger went up for plenty of balls but I dont recall him winning anything all night. Tbf he is young and can improve but he's no replacement for Carroll for now. Best wasn't much better either. Sholas injury makes selling Carroll look even more foolish. We could get pulled right back in the shit on last nights evidence.
  12. Sell your best striker without replacing him and you can guarantee your next best choice forward will get injured next game. That's the kind of luck you deserve for being as dense and az tight as the fat slug ashey the disgusting toad man
  13. Sorry like but ranger was fucking awful tonight. Nee Carroll replacement there. Can't remember him winning anything in the air all night
  14. How ironic that losing shola is such a massive blow. Who'd have thought it? Guthrie and Nolan btw should never play in the middle of a 442 again
  15. That was gash. Toothless. Fulham were there for the taking and we lost. That's how bad we were. Nothing up front. Nolan completely in efective in a 442 without tiote next to him. Crowd lively until they scored. Surprising lack of anti Ashley chants. Least enjoyable match I've been to this year. In the neutral end with a mix of hardcore Geordie and jap and yank tourists.
  16. caught the first episode last night on that new sky atlantic channel. top stuff. are they all90 minutes long?
  17. i'm excited about going to what is only my 7th match of the season, despite all the shite that's gone on with carroll. back to the real thing tonight
  18. we always seem to be the last cunting game on motd i tell thee
  19. no. he could have justified cashing in if the money paid for two or three quality additions to the squad. as it stands, we have a bag full of cash that isn't being spent on improving the team plus an andy carroll size hole up front. so while selling him for the inflated fee could have been in the best interests of the club, it was wrong because of the way it was handled. another fine mess basically.
  20. i'm all fired up for this match. going to get steaming, sing anti-ashley songs until i'm horse then post a drunken message on here late doors
  21. Below shearer, cole, bellamy Ferdinand, tino and pedro to name a few. I'd put him alongside owen in terms of what he did in a black and White shirt - a decent goals to games ratio but not a lot. The sickener is we won't get to see him realise his massive potential.
  22. you're not really answering the thread question are you? We've heard this line from you a million times before and you're right but do you think he'll succeed at Liverpool? I was wondering as well whether he'll fit in with their style of play. They're not really a lump it up to the big man sort of side.
  23. I don't want to sound bitter or owt but there must be a good chance he doesn't succeed at Liverpool. Massive expectations on his shoulders that come with a massive fee - a lot to live up to for a young Geordie charver prone to getting up to trouble off the field living away from his hometown for the first time. Will he flop or succeed?
