Forgot to tell manc-mag - we tried to win you a Rasta doll at the Hoppings the other night but Scott's co-ordination let him down dreadfully.

I wanted to be a gypsy as a kid. There was something appealing about wearing floaty skirts, hoopy earrings and travelling around with a horse and caravan. I might do it yet.....

That's also the advice of my mad, blonde Mancunian friend. "The best cure for an old love is a new one, and what's meant for you won't go past you" She's fucking mental like.

He had an outstanding game against Portugal and I felt more sorry for him than any of the others when we got beat because he personally didn't deserve it.

Essentially, all a hangover is is hypoglycaemia and dehydration so you need to redress the balance. The headache comes from reduction of fluid around the brain, so basically you need lots of water or dilutey juice before bed, more fluid and carbs (to bring the blood sugar levels back up) the morning after and some painkillers for the heed. If you're the type that gets bad stomachs then some kind of antacid like Zantac is handy too.

Has anyone got any boring or embarrasing hobbies? I was just thinking about this earlier as it's my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks and my gift to them is going to be a cross-stitch sampler thing which I'm in the process of stitching with their names/anniversary date etc on and all the girls at work take the piss as I usually sit there sewing away on nights like a little old biddy. Is anyone going to admit to collecting stamps or knitting in their spare time? Or is it just me who sits there like an old spinster swearing when I do some stitches wrong

Can this thread be stickied for the next time I need this advice? More important than anything else up there tbh. 155434 The toast can be substituted for fried breakfast/cereal/last nights pizza etc....

Ah well. Time to put the normal avatar back up.....

Oh god yes. I'll pass on the coke but the rest sounds like a plan, got a craving for a big fried egg sarnie though. 155176 That'll work just as well

Going to the pub for the match then? Have some toast, some full-fat coke, lots of water, 2 paracetamol, 400mg of Ibuprofen and some vitamin C.

As my mother point blank refused to let us go to the Hoppings as kids, I have finally defied her and went this evening. Charva-tastic!
