Luckily I get vaccinated routinely for the flu virus as I'm classed as high risk to contract it. Unfortuntately it mutates every year into a slightly different strain so it just depends if they can keep up with whatever the virus is at the time..

Nicely put, and obviously a man with a bit of insight. I dread every month and can understand how women can become clinically depressed over problems with periods. I think guys in general have minimal understanding of periods and their symptoms. "Periods" is a word to be whispered about and sniggered over, and used as a lame joke as in the case of this thread. Thankfully not all blokes are that ignorant and I have no qualms about discussing such a subject with anyone. I'm also lucky enough to know blokes who are aware of the kind of problems I have/have had in the past and can discuss it with me, ask me how I'm doing, and in the case of this week just turn up out of the blue with a nice gesture on the back of the fact that they know how fucking miserable and down I felt. But as Steve said: That's life. We still get up in the morning, go to work and just fucking get on with it.
