Maybe, but I think he'd be back to Liverpool in a shot given the opportunity.

Wonder how many numpties will be stood outside Next at 5.30 on Boxing Day morning?
-
Agree. The director of football role probably suits Woodward better too. When he was England rugby boss he concentrated on organisation and strategy and left the actual coaching to Dennis Betts and Phil Larder.

Wishing you and yours a toontastic christmas and a great new year

Amen to that.

If he spent 2mil and he's only 150k down he's probably doing a lot better (in percentage terms) than the average bloke in the bookies. Even goody-goody Michael spends a canny bit on the gee-gees.

Wasn't it followed by 'STICK IT UP YOUR JUNTA' ? -
Did anyone see the story in the papers today about ex-mackem Sean Thornton? Says he's cleaned up his act, stopped drinking and denies ever setting fire to £50 notes on a night out. Now he's at Doncaster he probably amuses himself by melting down 20p's.

True but she's got bloody great norks ! 70491 I must admit, I'd find it difficult to resist a bit of Mcfadden breast relief. As long as she didn't talk.

Bring back some memories?

Missed out on the Master System/ Snes era. My gaming history goes: Vic-20; Commodore 64; Atari ST; Amiga; then a big gap to the Playstation1. Never had a console/games machine since. -
Step forward Mr M. Owen.

Playing way above his ability together with Acuna once again Arsenal. Still the best performance from a central midfield I have seen from a Newcastle pair in recent years... 70184 They played fantastic in that match, FA Cup tie. Shame about the replay like 70189 They were brilliant that night. 70240 I miss "The Lion", thought he was treated quite shabbily just because he wasn't one of Bobby's blue-chip boys. Wonder where he is now? EDIT: now I come to think of it I think we released him because his mother was ill back in Chile, so I take back that shabby bit. Still should have got more games though.

Does she still smell of chip fat?

I have a mate who once bought a jazz mag and a packet of tissues at the same time. He might as well have said "I'm going home for one off the wrist"
-
I hope the vicar didn't see you. How would you have ever lived that down?

Player power though Jimbo: If he doesn't want to stay we can't keep him; If he sulks we might have to take a price below his true market value. Having said that 1) I don't think it will come to that, and 2) He doesn't seem that sort of person.

Suppose its time has gone now with fewer and fewer games being played at the traditional 3pm Saturday time and instant results services via the media and internet. Shame though.

The old shin, ear, tap-in combo. Not complaining like.
-
Yep, Owen is all about anticipation and timing- being in the right place at the right time. Five meaningful touches yesterday: three goals; an assist; a header on target saved by the keeper. Now thats what I call efficiency.

I feel for him, its obviously been tough going for him. It also must be hard for him if his wife and child have moved back to France. Forgive me for saying this, but from a purely football point of view we are not going to get the best out of him whilst this situation is carrying on. Cut-price/Loan deal to a French club possibly?

Very funny. My sides are ache-orn.

It's not going to stop until someone gets to the root of the problem. Bunch of saps!

...reminding me of last fridays Peep Show. When I've been on there for a while I keep thinking of Marks line "feel the embrace of the sweaty moron"
