  1. That's a good point about the media kitman, i agree with that. Surely he should at least be in list of candidates to make it to interview. A world cup with Mick would guarantee the quarters for us and that alone would be success. He's done wonders with Adam Hamill and Jamie O'Hara. I don't think the failed Wolves manager is going to make the list frankly. Nice to know he has a fan though.
  2. It's your prerogative to leave anytime you like, no-one will care.
  3. Don't think MicMac has the CV for it, so would cut a Mike Bassett kind of figure. Plus he's not Harry Redknapp so the media would be against him from the start imo.
  4. yeah and signing players and playing games. What's with that?
  5. yes Deadman, the administration is just a convenient way to sack lots of people and walk away from their debts.
  6. Yes, another Boumsong would do nicely........
  7. I just hope this means we won't be swooping in for some "bargains" at the end of the season.
  8. I had Quinn down as a drink driving IRA supporter TBF. Correct me if I am wrong. Hadn't heard anything about NQ being an "IRA supporter". I'd need to know a lot more about that before forming a judgement. There's a world of difference between being a sympathiser with the IRA's ultimate objectives and a supporter. I expect most Irishmen support a united Ireland but not the violence. Similarly I don't condone drink driving, but there's an element of 'glasshouses' about that for some people, including myself when I was younger. tbh he's always struck me as a decent sort of bloke, I don't know him personally obviously.
  9. I know, you keep telling us.... http://www.toontasti...ost__p__1037777 I've said it twice. And the comment's aimed at YOU, donut head. Seriously, have you even seen him play for the reserves (I haven't obviously)? Did he do something before he joined the toon? Do you know him personally? Because YOU have brought him up on here several times iirc and he's done fuck all for us, or am I missing something? He's a fringe player, possibly has potential, but Pardew doesn't rate him enough yet to give him a regular game (I'm not even sure he's made the bench that much when fit but I could be wrong on that). Yet you've got a great big stiffy on for him. He's plainly a work in progress and got a lot of developing to do. I don't get what your enthusiasm is based on, or is it because he's not Jonas?
  10. Anyone else not give a toss about Ferguson, or is it just me?
  11. Don't understand the 'utter cunt' comment about Niall Quinn. Everything I've ever seen about him suggests he's a good bloke, and he's been more of a credit to SAFC than wor Derek. Mick McCarthy also strikes me as sound, although I think his level as a manager is the championship. On the other hand I can't bring myself to like Steve Bruce, but that's dated from his Man Utd days onwards.
  12. Yes, I went to the Madejski to watch it as I lived near Reading at the time. iirc he came on second half because we were utterly gash. I thought he was a class above the rest of the team which was depressing given he was the manager and wasn't meant to be playing. Was fantastic to see him play though.
  13. Sounds like she fell asleep in the bath and drowned. Suicide doesn't wash with me but she often found herself in hot water because of her drug use.
  14. I think I just marvelled at his technique in that clip But I wouldn't watch it again, I don't find the music interesting in itself. before the end of the clip I found my mind wandering to a critique of his hair and outfit.
  15. Sounds painful. I was at a wedding years ago in Connemara and got absolutely trolleyed on Guinness with whiskey chasers. Got the helicopter spins and all sorts, didn't puke but would've been better if I had. Next morning had the worst hangover of my life and we drove to Westport. I forget the name of the road but it's something like the ten pins, it felt as twisty as fuck anyway and I had to get out of the car to throw up. It's a famous beauty spot apparently, I couldn't tell you a thing about the countryside other than the verge was quite green. Anyway we got to Westport and in despair I went to the pub. A plate of lamb stew/boxty and a pint of Guinness later, I strode from the pub a new man, health and sanity completely restored. Twenty minutes before I would gladly have taken a bullet in the head.
  16. I dunno I thought she was formulaic and rather dull. I thought she was strangely unsexy for such a beautiful woman as well. If you'd given me a free ticket to her show when she was in her prime I honestly wouldn't have bothered going. Each to their own of course, particularly with musical taste, but just reading she was the most awarded female act of all time. 170 million album sales and seven consecutive number ones aint too shabby either. Yeah, you're right, she was certainly very popular back in the day. Whether her music will stand the test of time, I dunno.

  18. Checked in here for the first time in ages as I was sure CT would be bleating on about a hangover (tick). Then I read Stevie and Renton's posts about their dads. Ye Gods. Very sorry to hear about your troubles fellas, all the very best to you and your families and I hope it all turns out well. Puts the more petty issues of our lives in perspective really.
  19. Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett btw. It's "Try a little tenderness" anarl
  20. RIP. Hated her music.
