He was half hearted for us (you set em up and I'll knock em in)

He's probably keeping Bruce company in The Diamond

Actually...on a serious note, I would agree that your starting 11 are superior however I would say ours has far more depth. If any of your key players are injured, you would be struggling to replace them from the bench: cabaye and tiote for example. If they get injured, you're left really thin on the ground. The thing that struck me about your summer signings was the general short termism of them i.e. the Man Utd players and Bendtner (obviously that Wickham lad was one for the future). I think Bruce know he didn't have long but I'm surprised Short went along with it. I don't know your squad that well but my sense is that Bruce has left a bit of a mess rather than strength in depth and you especially need a goal scoring striker. I think Mark Hughes would probably be the best (and most realistic) choice for you as he can organise a team and work well within existing resources a la Blackburn and Fulham. I hope you make a Wilkinson type appointment instead though.

He'll be carried out of the place covered in piss I reckon Not all of it his own either. Top bombing, Mr Fist

I think the other part of his problem is he's a nobhead and not too bright.

Llambias still hasn't learned that the best way to kill a story like this is to STFU, the moron. Barton looks enough of a self obsessed cock without Llambias stoking the fire. I wish both of them would keep their mouths shut tbh.......Barton should come to terms with the fact that he plays for QPR now and move on. Lambias should leave PR to the PR people, every time he opens his mouth he just comes across as a snidey little shit.

Can anyone see MO'N taking the job on? Didn't he turn us down because it was too far to travel, and he'd want some serious financial backing.....and I wonder how much money is left in the tin. More a Sparky Hughes kind of job, like he did at Fulham?

Sad news. Still, I won't miss seeing that alcoholic muttonhead bleating on about being hard done by.
-
Good, he's a horrible man

He looks like he needs to go quit his job and go into rehab. For the sake of his health, I haven't seen anyone with a redder face than that since Sid The Sexist fell asleep in the sun in Magaluf. He looks seriously ill. Yes, I'm genuinely concerned he's going to have a heart attack. You can see it in his face.

I have to admit it was hugely enjoyable. Would only have been topped if that last defender was wearing a red nose and a green wig.

The context is he is a graceless cantakerous old twat who never has and never will give his opponents an iota of credit.

Some of their buys in the summer were incredibly short term, like the Man Utd lads who are already over the hill. I can't see them getting their money back for them. Bendtner will get out of Dodge as fast as his legs will carry him I'm pretty sure Bruce will be sacked sooner or later but there's quite a mess for someone to sort out, and probably on a sell to buy basis.

Excellent choice. Enjoy the rest of your day fumbling around in bed! no time for that. Married life will start with a hospital appointment to check my pacemaker settings. Warp factor 9, Mr Sulu

yeah I agree, pretty inappropriate

That second vs Wigan was seriously embarrassing. The way their last defender went down on his arse was pure comedy (and Bramble wasn't even playing). That could be enough to finish Bruce by itself. His face looked like a big red inflatable ugly balloon in the post match interview too. Shaming stuff.

Nice AYS

Difficult to see Bruce surviving without a dramatic upturn in fortune. He's not bought well and then backed it up with shit results following on from a disastrous run last season. I expect even level headed fans have turned against him and if I was the owner I'd probably sack him.

If the concern was genuine as opposed to a mere catalyst for argument the word 'poppy' needn't have been brought into the debate at all but no it was there to spark a grief war. "Sport are troop's"? Fuck education, never mind Al Qaeda.....
-
Well that's one way to wile away the time.....
-
Agreed. And tbh, if there is a story that was due to come out that led him to this, then I hope for the sake of his family and his memory that it never sees the light of day. An outpouring of grief and respect is all I would hope happens next. Even talking about potential rumours on places like this can cause them to stick, and I would encourage people to refrain. You can't stop what other people say on twitter, but we can and should be careful about what ends up on here. I'm gutted though. To think of such a seemingly lovely bloke finding himself in a place where he felt this was his best option is unspeakably sad. Amen

Yoinks. Where's that, the Quayside?

Congratulations! Now you get a cooked breakfast every morning till you die......
