I haven't watched the game. The match kicked off 6.30 am nz time and I got pissed last night so overslept. Got up at 7.30 am to see we were 4 down. Went back to bed. Looking on the bright side other results were pretty good for us and I didn't expect us to get anything at spurs. A 5-0 drubbing is horrible but we now have a couple of very winnable games to get back on track.

re the court case, Redknapp plainly had a case to answer. He wnet to the trouble of setting up a secret offshore account in a tax haven, named after his dog, which he had to travel to Monaco to accomplish. That offshore account was provided to the chairman of his employer to receive substantial amounts which appeared to be connected with his employment. The cost of the prosecution is irrelevant if it sends out the right message especially in an area where traditionally there has been a high amount of dodgy payments etc. This case was not about whether tax was due on the payments, I expect it was and 'Arry has already paid up. It was about whether Redknapp set out to evade tax. He's been found not guilty of it by his peers so that's that. However the Revenue were fully entitled to prosecute him if they believe it was deliberate, or part of a pattern of behaviour, or it was necessary to set an example. He's basically got off by running the Ken Dodd defence i.e. I am as thick as pigshit, I don't know anything about finance, I leave all that to my accountant, I am a good and simple man who would never cheat the Crown. Personally I think 'Arry is pretty sharp and would know exactly what he was doing but the jury decided otherwise.

I think we'll lose, probably by two goals, on the basis both Cabaye and Tiote will be missing.......just don't feel we've got the guile in attack to score many or the steel to keep the likes fo Bale and Modric quiet....plus we've been riding our luck lately defensively and this will run out. I dislike Spurs. A draw would feel like a win for me and a win would precipitate a trouser ripping orgasm. Which would be nice.
