No doubt more crap abOut keeping our powder dry and having injured lads back being like new signings. I wish I wasn't so cynical about this lot.

Unfortunately I'm a greedy bastard and I like to drink. If I didn't do something I'd end up looking like CT. I've never been one for the gym but there's loads in the area where I work so I'm thinking I might go in a couple of lunchtimes a week. Good for you. Same for me, re: the drink like although I've cut down on the beer and drink wine more these days. Also had a few lifestyle changes (remember those, eh CT? ) which help me keep the weight off. I probably walk somewhere in the region of 25 miles a week for a start. Walking's the best exercise (yes I spelt that right). I mainly drink wine these days but will drink a few beers and shorts with workmates to celebrate the end of the week. Swimming is supposed to be really good for you but I don't really enjoy it, which is ironic given I live 5 minutes walk from a decent beach.

You have to wonder if he will grow to be the modern Newcastle fan when those who really care just can't stand to see the club get raped. 30'000 blind people wishing players the best of luck and praising the books after another is forced out or sold at a profit. ALL HAIL THE BALANCE SHEET!

For the love of god WHY ? You'll be 50, fit as a lop with dust for knees. Exactly, I'm 33 I only run when I play football these days. Cross trainers and miles of bike work is the way. Never had nee knee problems till abut 18 month ago, never had one injury, but they started coming up like puddings when I was running on concrete, I don't run now apart from football, me sprinting pace has all but gone anyway. That's because you're about 17 stone or something, isn't it? I'm only 10 stone nothing, my feet barely touch the pavement. Actually its just till beginning of oct and then I'll taper down ahead of the race. Once I've run the thing (hopefully) I'll probably play cricket with a bit of gym work thrown in.

I'm expecting us to lodge a bid with villa for n'zogbia on 30 august. I'm pretty hopeful.

I think it's pretty pointless getting worked up about anything till Ashley goes and takes his shitty MD with him. Anybody's who's any good will be sold if a good offer comes in or they ask for a pay rise.

Not looking forward to this season. The tea leaves foretell bad karma. Might have to slaughter a chicken or two.

I think the talentless wanker will take us into the Championship. After all he has no pride or self esteem and just wants to get some dosh whilst FCB reams his arsehole. Inclined to agree, I've never been convinced by him. He was on the scrapheap when he got the job and can't leave at least till he's got some credibility back as a manager. Till then he will repeatedly take it up the catflap and thank them for it, whilst pretending he's the boss to the press and players. To me, this Barton episode has reiterated how little involvement he has in the real decisions - a few days ago he was talking about Barton as the creative force for Demba Ba to score from, now he's suddenly gone, I suspect to Pardoo's surprise.

He would resign today if he had any nuts

Sorry but how on earth would provoking a revolt from the fanbase help him to get the best price? A well run club with happy fans and a settled team is more likely to attract investment, don't you think? There are better ways to advertise the club than having it besieged by angry charvas..... It may be that he's preparing it for sale by slashing the wage bill and eliminating losses but I doubt he wants outright confrontation.
