  1. I'm with the folks above, I'd take him back on a short term deal but there's no chance of it happening. I'd also take back Bassong.
  2. Healthy bank balance, lets not go squandering it on players and the like, simply leave the money in there to collect interest. If it was upto Nick theyd play the game with accountants not players. 11 pen pushers to a team, first to consolidate the outgoings wins the match. Thrilling stuff TOON TOON! Black and white balance sheet TOON TOON! Black and white balance sheet
  3. Meenzer is slightly nicer. Nicos, Alex and Kitman are also charming personage. Why thank you Mr P, the feeling's mutual. This place is poorer when certain folks are absent, and you're one of them
  4. For the record nick, I've disagreed with just about everything you've ever said on here.
  5. I think he's a tit but it's not exactly been handled well (assuming that is from the official club mouthpiece aka Thompson House). I suspect they've just reached the end of their tether with him. I remember reading that he's a poor trainer, turning up late and not prepared to put in extra to improve his skills. It's probably that more than anything which has done for him, he should be working every hour that god sends to force his way into the first team. Instead he's posing for pictures looking like a tit. It annoys me that he probably doesn't realize how lucky he is and by the sound of it won't put the effort in to make the most of his talent. How do you think he could've been handled better? Sounds like Nolan offered to help him and pardew gave him a few second chances. But ranger was too conceited or thick to put the effort in, is my impression. Maybe that's unfair, I'm just going on what I've read. Hard to say but it's (slightly) shades of Bellamy whereby by making it clear they're desperate to get rid of him it reduces any bargaining power we have. Very true. Sounds like we accepted the first offer that came along too.

  7. Sounds like ranger has blown it through being a tool. Shame.
  8. Fucking hell. If supporting Fat Fred to nth degree and seeing no wrong he done is LM, you my lad are the fucking polar opposite. You fuckers never heard of grey? As in the stuff in the middle? Freddy for any short comings was not abysmal like. MO was a fuck up, but was Shearer? Ferdinand, Beardo? Lee? Robert? Bellamy? Given? and on and on and on. He was a twat who loved his face on Sky sports and in hindsight, Id say didnt manage the clubs finances that well. Im not sure where it went wrong, but it did. I always blame the season Partizan stopped us getting back into the CL, I think then it started going tits up. but come on, We were in with the shout of the league under two of his managers, couldnt have been all bad surely? In my opinion, the contract that Shearer was given in 2004, which gave him about 100,000 a week, was another colossal waste of money, on behalf of Freddie. Bellamy was sacked by Freddie, simply for falling out with Shearer. (another stupid Freddie decision). Apparently hydrangeas come in two colours, pink and blue....
  9. I'm not really sure. I think its pretty pathetic of Gloomy to be so hypocritical. What a shame he ruins threads with his posts. If only he had agreed with me 4 years ago instead of giving me so much flak for being right, because he is now posting everything I said 4 years ago. Maybe he could bring himself to admit it ? He's obviously got you on Ignore, so you're wasting your time
  10. Given Enrique plainly wants to be off, it would be insane not to get another LB in*. If it was someone who could also get by at RB that'd be even better. Edit: *and get them in now, not waiting till 2 days to go in the transfer window
  11. Agreed. The lack of clarity is insulting to supporters and the cause of endless splits between people who share a common objective. My view is that generally speaking people only hide bad news. I think he probably takes the view his plans are none of our business. To me there's an undelying contempt to some of his decisions, like the singing section or the SD signage, which is strange for a retailer. It might be because he feels spurned by the fans or because he views fans as mug punters, I dunno. The latter is consistent with our ex-casino MD, who probably views all punters as mugs.
  12. I think most people would rather not have tacky SD signs plastered over SJP, especially if we're getting no money from it. That's without even considering whether it makes that much difference to SD's share price or MA's attitude to spending his money. Which it probably doesn't.
  13. They've all been wank tbh. They crammed eveything into part one so there was nowt going on in the second. Was I really 8 when they first came out?! Bloody hell. What went wrong? Went and saw it in 3D with daughter (who's a big HP fan) and we enjoyed it on the whole. The books were much better than the films imo but the latter whilst a bit disappointing have hardly been "wank". The biggest failing for me is Daniel Radcliffe who's wooden and unconvincing in the lead role and looks like a wet blanket. I can't stand that lipless grin of his either, more Harry Enfield than Harry Potter iyam. I'll be honest I've spent most of my time rooting for Voldemort to kill the little spaccer.
  14. Surely it's effectively 'free' either way though. The point being he is the CEO of SD and will be paid a wage and bonus based on performance. It is a plc with shareholders. NUFC however is 100% his and therefore in theory, any profit after tax can go straight into his bank account. No one at SD could argue that there is no value is the advertising they are getting so it would seem sensible for him to set up a payment from SD to NUFC. It is so much in his interest to do it, I can't see any reason / benefit why he wouldn't. It could be a lot more complex than you're alluding to. Thre's the possible impact on the respective share prices of SD and NUFC, the cash aspects, the tax impact, the loss position of NUFC and so on. Depends on his priorities I suppose.
  15. I think that would require a fee, so is unlikely to happen
  16. I find it hard to believe a word Pardew says. I think he makes it up as he goes along.
  17. Your been ironic? Or could of being written in English?
  18. Wendy looks like an ugly bloke with stubble. And the name looks it's been drawn on afterwards with a felt tip pen. All round top effort.
  19. The only reason he'll stay is if he doesn't get a decent club in for him. Unless he can get his head straight I think I'd rather he went now so weve time to get a decent replacement in. In fact we should have someone lined up already cos it's pretty obvious he's wanted away for some time now. We had a player lined up but staying at Swansea was a more attractive option for him. Ye gods. I bloody well hope he wasn't intended to be a like for like replacement.
