I agree, but they made an exception for Sol Campbell. It is one of those policies which is absolutely sacrosanct, except when it is not. Short term deal sounds fine to me, even if only for a year while the new guys settle - assuming he doesn't drive them all out! Even if we offered him such a deal, which seems unlikely as people have said, would Bellamy accept it? He's probably good enough to get a longer deal elsewhere, plus I'd expect he harbours a grudge against the club after being forced out. Of course anything's possible in the kerraazy world of NUFC but I can't see it myself.

Xisco must surely be one of the worst signings we've made in recent years. No goals, virtually never played for us in fact, no shirt sales, no-one knows who he is, no-one interested in buying him, no interest in retaining him or giving him a run at the team. Something rotten about that transfer imo.
