Mosman is a rather posh suburb, new money, so chances are they were to busy giggling like little girls that she had breasts to even think about checking them! Those breasts need checking iyam. Checking carefully. If they've neglected this duty they're not doing their jobs properly.

No doubt there was an in depth examination of the device. Probably required a specialist to feel his way around the device for nipples and concealed touch sensitive triggers. Those brave brave men.

The man speaks the truth. Yes. Ambition costs money which we're not prepared to spend. The funds are needed elsewhere.

The guy I'm dealing with is in charge of over 100 people, it's understandable that he didn't notice my case. The failing was with the guy who was directly above me and he's no longer my direct report, the new fella I have is much better. But aye, after 12 months I would have more money but I'm guessing the inherent problems would still be there. The question is whether the money would be enough to compensate for that. But what price can you put on the value of life? I don't necessarily hate the job but the situation i.e. working away from home on a full time basis. And that won't change. 90% convinced I'm going to continue with my resignation. Do you have another job lined up ewerk? Because if not, one option would be to try the new role for 6 months to see if it works out. If not you can still walk away. In my experience once someone's decided to go, it rarely works if you offer them a shitload of money to stay. Usually the issues are around their enjoyment of the job, not feeling valued, not liking who they work for etc, which don't change. However if they've offered you a completely new role in a different area, that might change the game. If your fundamental issue is working away from home, then obviously that will always be an issue wherever you are, unless you move home. Just read that back, not sure it helps at all

There goes another 2 weeks' wages then....

Reflecting on the turn of events, it seems to me that Liverpool and Enrique/his agent had this stitched up last season, as confirmed by Phil Thompson. His general huffiness, lack of form, refusal to discuss contracts etc and then the tweets imo all confirm that. If anything I think the club have been staring Liverpool down, in the hope they can jack up the price. On his side, I bet Enrique and his agent have been trying to force their hand, culminating in the recent tweets. The whole thing stinks imo. The sad thing is, although it seems utterly obvious he was always going to leave, the club won't have anyone lined up. They'll faxing their "top targets" on 31 August and working through their "hit list" and be told to fuck off.

A lad I worked with on the Med had a 24 hr bender and ended up pulling a tourist lass. We were just getting up when we saw him dash out of his tent at 7am, running kind of awkwardly and holding his hands away from himself. After a quick visit to the shower block, back he came, ducked back into his tent, then seconds later we hear him shouting at the poor lass " You filthy cow! Look at the mess, get out you skank" ( or words to that effect). That night we quizzed him, he'd woken up, realised he'd shit the bed, saw this lass comatose next to him so rolled her in it and hoyed a bit round her stinker. A quick shower, back in to bed , then woke her up outraged at the mess " she" had made of his bed. Once we'd stopped laughing we all agreed he was an utter twat. The poor woman is probably still in counselling. "It's never happened before, I can't remember a thing. Now I'm afraid to go to sleep at night."

There's a lot to be said for being happy to get up and go to work though. When you say professionally, do you mean it'll put you in better stead for promotions to higher paid jobs that you still hate getting up for? Tough decision, cos there's no guarantee that you'll enjoy the alternative, but honestly it's worth giving some consideration to the fact that you're gonna have to do another 40 years of this shit, and try to steer a course towards something you might enjoy. Wish I'd thought more about that rather than the immediate reward of more money or whatever. Well that's the problem I'm trying to work out, would I still be happy? I've had good projects and bad during my time but what I've been offered is the chance to work on more challenging projects and the opportunity to 'develop'. In the short term there would be more money in staying where I am but in the long term it isn't something I want to be doing. So it's a case of either stay for the short term gain in a job I don't really want to do or join an SME with less money in the ST but a chance to earn substantially more and potentially have overall control in the future. I'm leaning towards the latter. I think one question to ask yourself is why they're only shown an interest in you after you've put your resignation in. And whether the things that piss you off now will still piss you off in six to 12 months time when the novelty of the extra money etc's worn off. Change is healthy imo. However it's up to you to decide what's best for you, obviously.

I've done two half marathons and that was hard, but the training you need to do to get by is nothing like the full race. You really need to be motivated to do it (unless you're not bothered about collapsing part way through a la Jade Goody) and stick with the programme even when you don't fancy it or there's something better to do( which there always is). In my case I love getting out to run and there's loads of great runs around here but after two months or so of running 5 times a week it gets on your tits. I wish I'd done it 20 years ago now when it'd have been a bit easier (mind you, I was into beer, kebabs and smokes so probably not!). However I'm excited about the challenge of doing the race so it's worth it to me. Can see why it would bore the tits off most people though...

If we got 14 degrees in the middle of winter we would all be out in shorts and t-shirts. We had 5 continious weeks of snow last year with temps on -13 degrees It's what you're used to. You live in Yorkshire, it's fucking freezing I should know, I lived in north Yorkshire for a while (ripon way)

Newcastle United - Chaos, Confusion and the Sound of Silence
Kitman replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
Useless fuckers. They'd be sat round a table debating composite 22 regarding the amendment to the trust constitution while Fat Ash dismantled SJP and sold it as pig iron. -
If we get Barton out and Enrique sold for 10 mill, surely that must free up the funds for a couple of free transfers? I expect we could attract nigel winter burn and dean windass if the money's right.....

Not sure about te Koko but I've drunk plenty of Cloudy Bay. Marlborough and central otago wines are generally very good. NZ is a little like the opposite of France in that they export their best wines, so it's relatively expensive to drink the really good stuff. That said there's plenty of good wine at reasonable prices here. I tend to drink Pinot noir in winter, in fact I'm drinking a nice hawkes bay Pinot now when I should be going to bed Matakana is about an hour from Auckland, really nice place. Te Koko is the stuff made using 'wild yeast' (similar to sour dough bread) so it's more expensive / difficult to make. It does taste quite different to the 'ordinary' Cloudy Bay like (although that is very nicec too). Aha, never tried it. Sound like just the ticket for a business lunch so I don't have to pay for it

I wonder where the goals are coming from as things stand. That defence won't keep many clean sheets imo.

Unfortunately I'm a greedy bastard and I like to drink. If I didn't do something I'd end up looking like CT. I've never been one for the gym but there's loads in the area where I work so I'm thinking I might go in a couple of lunchtimes a week. Good for you. Same for me, re: the drink like although I've cut down on the beer and drink wine more these days. Also had a few lifestyle changes (remember those, eh CT? ) which help me keep the weight off. I probably walk somewhere in the region of 25 miles a week for a start. Walking's the best exercise (yes I spelt that right). I mainly drink wine these days but will drink a few beers and shorts with workmates to celebrate the end of the week. Swimming is supposed to be really good for you but I don't really enjoy it, which is ironic given I live 5 minutes walk from a decent beach. Aye, I'll tend to drink beer if I'm out. Btw, I don't think I've had a bad bottle of wine from NZ. We're spoilt for choice tbh. The whites are particularly good imo, so looking forward to summer

Apparently his first offer was a pearl necklace
