And there's an advantage of living in Blighty, look at those local bands that can play local gigs, although PL the Charlatans were pants about five years ago when I saw them last, so hopefully they've had a chance to practice during lockdown. Sleafords will be interesting, I kind of like there stuff, then it shits me to tears, then I like it - I see them as watching Bruceball and winning, you feel like you should celebrate but it doesn't feel right. In early June Ed Kuepper (The Saints/Laughing Clowns) is playing a show with Jim White (drummer from The Dirty Three) at the Opera House which should be interesting but things are still really quiet here.

Been cancelled yet? They just announced their rescheduled Australian tour for December, we bought tickets but there isn't a hope in hell of the show actually happening on the dates announced.

The Entirely Reasonable Potential Transfers Thread

Be interesting to see how well he recovered from his ACL reconstruction. 18 months older and hasn't played a single game for Eintracht since he returned to them with his injury, has success written all over it. -
For the uneducated wtf is Beavers? Is it like Scouts but minging?

Ah sparky as in a "sparky"! Opposed to sparky, as in some dumb cunt. I love the english language sometimes, it's no wonder it flummoxes some of our english as a second language members and essembee on occassions.

Interestingly our bunch of tory cunts threw our farmers under the bus a few years ago, so not sure what we have left to trade as the Chinese and Americans own most of the farms and water in this country.

A tidy, grateful wife with a useless fatty for a husband - that’s got trouble written all over it Fist! Or you could always use the Bill Clinton arguement/approach!

Btw someone needs to tell tr2 that AC/DC didn't mean that sort of dog! Note fair warning: Don't press on the link if you don't understand the 70/80s were a different time and then want to go all Noelie on my arse.

You would think that a world wide pandemic would be enough for people to see that a functioning health service is a must and therefore we need to pay taxes. But as Renton said in the Politics thread: We are the architect of our own extinction.

My biggest issue with crypto currency is those that want it are the same tax dodging cunts that are happy to not help society by actually paying their fair and equatible share of tax. How does a country have a functioning healthcare system or education or affordable housing for those that are less fortunate if crypto currencies "decentralise" the current financial systems? Yes banks are shit and are no longer about providing services to their clients, just profits to their shareholders but there has to be a better way than just fucking the whole system! Surely? Paying taxes is a necessity. People like Trump, Boris and Musk are happy for the gap of divide between the haves and have-nots to continually increase but the world and society cannot survive if just the 1% get what they want.

It’s basically Pokemons for the rich and foolish (want to get rich). They are both living off funds they have fleeced from the foolish. 70 million stupid Americans tells me that Trump is the more successful atm.

He’s got form for being a shitheel with stuff like this. Plus he’s not much better than Ashley when it comes to his workers. When the pandemic kicked off and lockdowns began he insisted they still turn up for work and was against social distancing measures. He’s insisted on his workforce being non unionised plus and this is what annoys me, procuring the resources for batteries is also bad for the environment and yet he has no implimented plan for recycing the materials in what will become the dead and obsolete batteries he sells. He’s just a more polished, greener PR Trump who loves to throw his toys out when the world ignores him.

The cynic in me says it's not even about that, it's more he wants to effect the price of the market for whatever reason. He made a quip during his SNL hosting on the weekend about dogecoin, then a few days later he tells the world he's (currently) done with bitcoin. The guy is dodgy as fuck when it comes the way he handles his INFLUENCE on his chosen markets.

Brandon Park in the 80s rocked when the Wolves were on fire.

60s Charlotte, not current I hope?

I struggle with the whole Head Hunters/80s fusion stuff and the same with Wayne Shorter and his fusion thing, Weather Report but (just about) everything else both of them have done, together and solo is all I would ever need for music if I had to choose. And their combined work with Miles Davis "2nd greatest quartet" is some of the best music, of any genre, the world will ever hear. I read the other day Wayne has had to retire from playing live due to health reasons, which is just depressing and I doubt I'll ever get to see Herbie play again due to the pandemic, fucking world!

Just close your eyes, you won’t tell the difference! Got to be easier than Quiff having to clean his fleshlight every evening.

Saw Carcass back in the early 90s with a mate who is one of the guitarists in Australian stoner band, Tumbleweed. It was one of the best and strangest gigs I’ve ever been too. The venue was packed but somehow everyone had 3ft/sq of space so they could flick their metal length hair - which was weird for someone coming from a got to mosh every gig background! It was like they all had forcefields around them. Norman Records had this on their latest mail out, drone ambient by hardcore punk musos. Not sure if I like it, probably going have to give it a couple of listens.

That's because it samples one of the greatest jazz tracks (Cantaloupe Island) by one of the greatest musicians that ever lived (Herbie Hancock). Even US3 couldn't have fucked this one up.

That's it then, Citeh are champions, the bottom three is already decided, when was the last time the greatest league in the world was basically decided with three rounds to go? So does our lot get to do the guard of honour as Citeh are presented the trophy on Friday night? Probably the closest most of them will ever come to seeing what it is like to win something.
