Not being funny Noelie, but The Gooch is the yank in Italy and despite being noble hasn't really done anything. Also, I wouldn't be wholly impressed by an American plying his trade in 4 of the leagues you mention. He missed (nearly) the entire season with a knee injury. More classic knowledge from The Fish I'd miss him if he didn't post. Mind Gooch is shite though. Tbh though, we don't really have any standout defensemen on our backline. They don't work badly as a unit, but individually, none of them are anything to write home about. Wouldn't go so far as to call him shite though. He's quite good at defending against corners and crosses where he can use his height to his advantage, although does have a tendency to ball watch when the action is close up. We heard that before he signed for us and considering his size he was pretty gash in the air. He was awful for us in general though, god knows how he ended up at AC Milan.
