Visited it twice when I've been in Krakow, second time took the kids (well they were in their 20's but after seeing it myself was something I wanted them to see), anyway after first time when me and the Mrs visited she was telling "the girls at work" about it and one of them said "Oh Auschwitz is that where they make the sausages" (whatever the F that means!!!!), two of the others confessed to "have never heard of it" !!! I despair at times.

According to Jehan de Waurin (who was at Agincourt - his brother and his father were killed fighting for the French, he himself later fought for the English !!) writting 20 years after the fact about Henry's speech before the battle: “…And further he told them and explained how the French were boasting that they would cut off three fingers of the right hand of all the archers that should be taken prisoners to the end that neither man nor horse should ever again be killed with their arrows. Such exhortations and many others, which cannot all be written, the King of England addressed to his men”. No mention of gestures in any of his writing. It took three fingers, not two, to draw a longbow. Draw weight's about 100lbs.

No NUFC players for England = Alles les Bleus Never want England to win if no NUFC involvement, just another London team. Spend most of the year despising the bassa's, just because they pull on a different shirt means nowt to me. I enjoy International football tournamants to watch but otherwise = meh ! Only England team I care for/follow is the cricket team.

Read it some time ago, Agincourt by Juliet Barker is an excellent read btw. BTW - The arrows cost the equivalent of £1.00 a pop in modern money, an absolute fortune. Harry pawned just about everything to fund his expedition.

Worst sort of scouse scratter, with or without facial damage

Really ?? Ref letting them get on with it, quite enjoying it tbh. Seems the grass is mighty long though, balls not exactly zipping around.

What about the £10 slip behind the "easy money" slip in the first photo ?? Did that win ?? That's £75 without supposition. BTW - The £25 slip is awfully crumpled up, did trap 6 really win ??
-
So that's £40 on the "easy money" double, plus £25 on a dog and one half of the "easy money" double, one would likely surmise there was another bet on the other half of the "easy money" double an allaround similar stake. That's £100 quid-ish (at least, I suspect) on one nights betting. You need help.

How do you feel after signing your new contract, Graham? And how did it come about? To be honest, it was quite a shock really. I got a phone call from Derek Llambias who asked if I was available to come and meet Mike (Ashley). We had a chat for three or four hours about everything on our side, the scouting side, and then I met Mike again the next day for a couple of hours. We spent a couple of days talking about our targets, which had been discussed previously with Alan (Pardew). Alan had identified the players we're after and for Mike, who's a busy man, it was a great opportunity for us to get together and talk about them. And when I got offered the contract, I signed there and then. We were just discussing players and suddenly, out of nothing, he told me what he was going to offer me. I like working for him so it didn't matter if it was one year or 20 years. I just like working for Newcastle - but it came as a real surprise.

He also said refs have the power to stop a game if there's racial abuse, can be the only way tbh. Black player who's team is down 2-0 with 10 minutes left walk off stating racial abuse, it has to be left to the ref. It's all a bit messy tbh. Not sure what "stopping the game" means in real terms, finish at whatever score it was at the time?, empty the stadium and restart? couldn't do replays. Ukraine take the lead, monkey chants (or suchlike) start, what's the ref to do ????

Looking that way, they obviously had no plan at all. Marvelous !!!

I'd never want another English club (outside NUFC) to win anything ever, unless they were playing someone depsicable like Real Madrid (and even then, that would depend who the English team were).
