Curbishley is a nice guy and good manager for a club size of Charlton, but he wouldn't cope with England. They play dull, negative football - basically long ball to Bent. And he can't do transfers either - he's got some crap there like Bothroyd, Jeffers, Hughes etc. Full credit to him for taking them all this way, but they haven't been making much progress recently in the Premiership.

It would be great to see West Brom, Birmingham and Villa relegated, as frankly nobody elsewhere cares about them.

Story from a friend of mine - he was in a park in a dodgy area, with some other friends when they were about 11 or 12, playing on some swings, near a graveyard. It was getting dark, and they started running up a nearby footpath. He then looked over his shoulder and noticed some fog in the shape of a human, and he could feel that "ghostly" presence. He said he just carried on running and didn;t alert his friends. Incidently, a lot more recently a couple of years ago, there was a murder in that park. Another mate of mine said he was in a car with his mum on some country road, when he stopped off, and went to the toilet in a roadside toilet shed. He told me when he was washing his hands, he saw a really pale young boy walk past. He asked his mum if anybody had stopped and he checked behind the shed, but saw nobody there. That's what I remembered very well anyway. No such stories from me as of yet, but I don't rule out the existance of UFOs or ghosts etc.

But someone's got to give him lessons on his first touch and finishing.

I think he would be a great and very useful player if we could get some excellent coaches and a good manager installed.

If Man Utd did catch them up, at least it would prove Chelsea haven't bought the title. In fact I think they've already proved that.

He has the capability to get forward an attack, but he doesn't nearly enough. He doesn't look as good as he was at Charlton - that's for sure.

I think given the situation with tabloids and gay footballers who aren't coming out, the chants just make it even worse. Football should have no place for homophobia, or just the attention the tabloids give for footballers, and his actions off the pitch aren't of our concern. That said, I don't have a problem with the lighthearted chants, and he didn't do himself any good by what he said.

He was branded a legend and a Geordie way too early - after that fine free-kick against the Mackems. But I feel we;ve been expecting too much from him. The game against Southampton everyone was shouting "shoot" whenever he got the ball - it's not as if he has some deadly long shot, as quite a few of his efforts go miles high into the crowd.
