Shearer told him to keep calm and that tackle wasn't the action of someone who was calm. Barton should have realised the implications of a three game suspension and accepted the dressing down, especially after what we've had to put up with from him.

The thing is he should really have viewed the game as a chance to get match fit, his big chance of redemption was playing a pivotal part in the next three games. I've always thought he was a decent player, but he is clearly not going to learn his lessons. We have to get shot, it's too poisonous to have a player like that in the club.

Fuck off man, there is no excuse for the size of bonus these cretins are getting. Every industry has issues with retaining staff, but they don't dish out millions doing it. The best staff will always be in demand and, if they are that way inclined, will follow the big bucks. It's a joke to suggest there was ever a problem attracting staff in to banking.

Yesterday I said it was must win. In mathematical terms that wasn't true as we might only need 3 more points, but in terms of confidence I thought and still think it was. But there was enough there to give me hope. We had two very good opportunities that could and should have been taken. I thought defensively we were sound. Duff did well at left back and despite what others have said Nicky Butt looked up for the fight. The return of Guthrie means that Ryan Taylor isn't needed for his 'dead ball expertise' . Guthrie and Smith are key for me in the next two home games.

Most vital game since the last weekend in April back in 1992.... Who were we playing that day? This is arguably bigger, the damage to confidence will, IMO, send us down. Relegation then would have been damaging, but relegation now is unthinkable...

The title of this thread is 'why men are stupid', it should be renamed 'why men are biologically tortured'. I was on a work trip a while back and was getting on really well with a lass who, had I been single, I would have torn my arm off to shag. It was a near stranger, no chance of getting caught, my every (admittedly drunken) instinct was telling me to do it, but I didn't cos I am married and not a c*nt. That plan is seriously flawed. He's at school man, the kind of experimentation needed to contract the bad aids generally doesn't take place until the bullying hordes are a thing of the past. So it involves finding a bad aids victim outside of the school and then carrying a vial of aids juice in to school, risking it going off in his pocket (much like a stink bomb) before sticking said Oik with the needle! For some reason emails from my work address get trashed when I send them to BT addresses (BTconnect and BTinternet). Anyone got an idea how I can stop this without making phone calls to individuals and asking them to unspam me.
