1. Jenas misses the target AGAIN!!
2. I loved it and thought the two leads were amazing. Recommended 113226 No and no. I thought it was garbage. Totally unbelievable. Family find out Dad has violent past and think... maybe I could be violent too and start shooting people and engaging in violent sex. Absolute tosh.
3. Inside Man. Alright, nothing special. Jodie Fosters stems are fairly impressive. Also, the first time I've ever come out of a Spike Lee movie without feeling guilty for being white.
4. Went to see Lucky Number Slevin last night. Besides being in the smallest theatre ever (about 60 seats) I really enjoyed it. Good pace, nice (if slightly excessive) use of flashback. Good performance from Freeman, Kingsley, Willis and the poor mans Brad Pitt. And Lucy Liu looked un-believable...
5. Never, ever, get an eat all you can Chinese Buffet. The alternative you're thinking of is an excellent choice though - El Coto it's called I think. 109221 Why, what have you got against vats of deep fried onions and scrag ends of beef?
6. Just go to Lau's Buffet King and be done with it!!!!! The Tapas bar on Leazes Road round the corner from SJP, used to be Barn Again, is very good.
7. I have done both skiing and boarding and can ski very well but am still struggling with boarding. But won't go back until I've cracked it. Problems occur when you are on a relatively flat section and you come to a stop or catch an edge and you end up going arse over onto an unpleasant icy floor. But when you get from top to bottom in one piece it is a brilliant feeling, far better than skiing IMHO. As for dry slopes boarding on them is for professionals and lunitics as far as I can tell
8. I agree to an extent, but 10 million a week are listening to the station so they must be doing something right for their target audience. (Of which neither of us are) I am aware of just how manufactured his 'wind up' calls are, but, I still have found myself laughing at them from time to time. I can't help it as some (not many) of them are genuinely funny.
9. Dave Pearce is terrible mate IMO of course. That bit where he reads out recorded messages of KERAZY people heading out clubbing "Alright Dave, can you play some dancey cack for me and my mates who are off out to so and so a place. ROLL ANOTHER FAT ONE DAVE!" 107139 I wasn't nominating the dude for a Sony. I merely think that when it comes to filling the incredibly dull stretch of the M1 between Leeds and Coventry the actual songs he plays have a rather uplifting (in a "I remember tupping a lass to this at university" type of way) effect.
10. I am gonna have to back Brock (to an extent) Mills' features CAN be funny. I agree though they are very local radio, but not many are doing it as well as he does on local radio. Moyles is sounding tired, Zane Lowe shouts too much. As cheesy as it is Dave Pearce's weekend dance anthems has filled many a dull Sunday evening M1 drive. For southerners I do enjoy Richard Bacon on the otherwise very ordinary Capital. Otherwise it's Five Live all the way.
11. It's become self congratulatory clit-rubbing tbh. Reading some of the threads with them bigging their own efforts up. I think they've done a good job, but it's like. "You da man!" "No, YOU da man!" "No, you BE da MAN!" 93439 I wonder how Mr Hitzfeld will react to Freddie. I just can't see the pair of them having anything in common. Small talk might well be short on the ground. FS: Gooten morgen Ottmar OH: Hello My Shephard FS: Please, call me Freddie OH: Ok Uncomfortable silence OH: So Freddie, is it normal for the English to have two tone hair? FS (to secretary): Get me Steve Bruce's number
12. Aye, they've all won the league 3 times on the trot and name their biggest CM achievement as managing to get Kaka to the toon.
13. Nice article. Say what you like about nufc.com but they are on the pulse the majority of the time.
14. To be fair to Shepherd, he has hired managers who most people agreed with (except Souness), he backed them with generous quantities of cash. He has made, in my view, made the right choice with regards sacking them, BUT his timing was abysmal, four times in a row.
15. John Carver had a 100% record. I think the Shearer/Roeder dream ticket need to have a similar record too...
16. I might have a beer with lunch to celebrate, corned beef sarnies and cheap french lager, northern gastronomy..
17. Only if we get somebody as incompetant as Souey will they stay though!
18. That must have been prepared in advance like..
19. A wave of relief has just washed over me. Again though Shepherd's timing is attrocious...
20. Journalists aren't asking the right questions. These are the questions that need to be asked: 1) What is happening in training Graeme, are the same defensive mistakes been made there and if so what is happening to address them? 2) How do you account for a perceived lack of desire by the majoirty of your squad? 3) You paid 9.5m for Albert Luque, when will he warrant a place in your starting line up? 4) What will it take before you walk away, will Newcastle need to be firmly rooted to the foot of the league? 5) Is there no-one in the reserves who might show a little passion? 6) Why were reserve team games not given to Parker, Emre, Ameobi, Taylor and Dyer before they made first team returns? 7) Will you accept that coaching could be at fault if NUFC lose to Pompey on Saturday? 8) If it's frosty on Saturday, does that mean Dyer won't play? Are there any other weather permitations that could keep him out?
21. Boumsong and indeed the entire back four, couldn't get in a decent University side. The lack of any kind of communication is astounding. Why is this not being addressed? Are they struggling against pace in matches cos they aren't up against any in training perhaps? Surely someone is telling them all to stop playing a ridiculously bad offside trap (as they are clearly incapable) and stand off your man. You see a ball over the top, it's like Wait.... Wait..... Wait.... No Boumsong's set off.
