  1. Err, his constant mentioning of Rosberg and Kubica ahead of Hamilton. If there was to be contact....If there was to be contact. Basically willing it to happen. Aye he mentioned that if one of them dropped out - no mention of contact. Brundle's a bloke who sat behind the wheel of an F1 car for 12 years and so a number of his rivals killed in accidents (Bellof, De Angelis & Senna spring to mind), he would never will for an accident to occur - that's something that the JCL fans look out for...
  2. Liverpool fans might have something to say about that tbh And Blackburn Didn't he win the FA Cup with Liverpool?
  3. Doesn't matter if we think its OK or not it's the rules of the game....
  4. He was hardly being shit on.... had he been allowed to overtake Prost in France (who he finished less than a second behind and was shitting all over), his engine not blown at Silverstone and a tyre blown out at Hockenheim (both times when leading comfortably late in the race), he'd have been World Champion in his own rookie season....
  5. Can they just not let this season go FFS! The stewards have fucked about enough as it is and it'd be a tarnished WDC if it was given to Hamilton now. Oh and RICO on what grounds are you calling Raikkonen boring? He's the fucking wildchild of F1!
  6. Brundle hit the nail on the head when it suddenly dawned on him that they were bringing Lewis in for a 3rd stop. What the hell were they thinking because had it not been needed he'd have been ahead of Rosberg & Kubica at the end and therefore would be World Champion now. Sima, I don't know what the fuck you're going on about but would you like to point out where Brundle was praying for a crash? He might have suggested that for Lewis to have a chance he'd need one of the people in front of him to drop out. To suggest that a ex-F1 driver would pray for a crash is ridiculous. You're an idiot at times...
  7. Hmmmm - it's the norm for me... The football wasn't really a shock IMO, we'd have been stunned if we'd beaten the South Africans and as for Hamilton.... Well I had an inkling that one was going to go pear-shaped ever since the incident in China.

    Bovril.

The only way to warm your insides during a cold mid-week game. au contraire ma cherie, Greggs Sausage rolls keep you toasty just fine. I'd have preferred a nice big fat plate of fajitas at the match though Explains a lot......

Good for you Fish..... Totally useless to the question that's been asked but all the same...
  10. LH had a hell of a season and despite not winning the title, he's done an awesome job. Kimi won 2 more races than any other driver so by definition deserves the title. Hamilton made a mistake by panicking in turn 4 but that's not what cost him the title. A combination of the engine cutting out on him AND taking the ludicrous decision to pit 3 times did the damage. The move he made on Barrichello was breath-taking. No way in hell did I think he'd make that stick. Been a hell of a season and lets hope 2008 is just as exciting.
  11. You play for one team. That is Newcastle United. The ones who are paying your exorbitant wages. Anything besides that is a bonus and it is time you started treating it that way. It's tits like you that he's aiming the title of his article at....

I think I got my last lot from http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/ The one I got had money knocked off it becasue it was marked up with a 'tester' label... Like I care
  13. Exactly. I know fuck all about rugby but even i can tell it was out. Wasn't his foot raised before it went over the line meaning it was safe? It touched the line before he raised it. Unlike in football, the player has to remain within the pitch for play to count and the sidelines aren't included! It was very very marginal and only the slightest of touches but it was definitely the right decision to not award the try.
  14. As I said before Fish.... F1 isn't your bag so you don't get it and find it boring. But in the same respect you have to accept that others feel the same about football and just because your opinion is different it doesn't make you either right or wrong.
  15. Seem everyone knows a fucking idiot like this. They can't handle their drink, yet persist in getting drunk to the point it's debilitating, ruins everybody's night and leaves them feeling like shit the next day. Was your night fucked too Dave?
  16. David fuckin Campeze (sp) It was a knock on Bitter?? Agree but they still were considerably the better side and deserved the win. They haven't beaten us in a world cup since though
  17. Played at university and watch the Six Nations each year and every world cup since it started in 1987 so i'll naturally be watching the match tonight. I'm guessing that if you asked most 'bandwaggon jumpers' they'd say this is England's second appearance in a rugby world cup final when actually it's their third.
  18. this would be true if the conclusion of the match was the same every time. There can be a multitude of scores, and a massive variety of paths to that conclusion. Unfortunately to the layman, Formula one looks exactly the same each time that particular track is visited. I'm saying if I saw a clip of a football match I could probably tell you the year, if you saw a clip of a race I doubt the same could be said. I appreciate that it's still a demanding activity, I just don't understand where you, as a spectator can derive pleasure from it? I can't see the moment of genius invention which results in a goal, the dogged determination to claw back from the pounding you took in the first few rounds to win the bout or the sheer brute power to scrum your opponents back into their own territory. All I see is blokes in cars pushing their car and reactions to their limit and while I can respect their skill, I don't think it's entertaining. Like I was trying to allude to, each to their own. You don't see it as much these days but some of the overtaking manoeuvers have to be seen to be believed. Its all down to split second thinking. Incidents which jump to mind are Mansell at Silverstone '87, Hungary '89 & Mexico City '90 and also Hakkinen at Spa '00. Total genius.
  19. Hamilton is immature to the sport (I love the way ITV-F1 keep going on about 'how mature' he is when he's exactly the opposite). The whole carry on in Hungary kicked off because Hamilton was being a spoilt brat and wouldn't follow team orders although Alonso's tit for tat reaction was just as bad. But he really lost respect from me last time out when there was a possibility he could be penalised for what happened in Japan. His whole "it's soooo not fair" was right out of Kevin & Perry. He's not mature, he's just a bloody good racing driver in a bloody good car.

    Keegan

True Alex, I agree with that. He was gifted, just not as much as some of his peers who achieved similar acolades.
  21. Given the fact that in the past he's openly said he wants the England gig, you could hardly blame him for not giving a clear response. He'd have lost no matter what he'd said here. Had he said he was definitely interested, they'd have questioned his long term commitment to a role. Had he said he was definitely no longer interested, they'd have either berated the way he played Bolton the last time the opportunity came along or they'd put spin on it and suggest his commitment to Newcastle would likely spell trouble for Michael Owen.
  22. Dunno about the rest of you... but i'm smelling excrement of the bovine variety...
  23. it's watching a couple dozen blokes drives quickly round a track ... for hours on end, and as I said earlier, fuck all of interest happens after the first corner, barring an impressive crash, which is in no way guaranteed nor is it a show of particular ability on the part of the driver, more likely it's a show of momentary inability. Don't give me this shit about "the tactics" or anything either. It's dull! There's no doubting the danger to the men involved, there's no doubting the technical excellence of the cars, unfortunately that danger and craftmanship is not enough to maintain any sane mans interest. It's akin to the people who watch Fishing on tv, or Daytona, Tractor pulls and Drag races... ad nauseum It's dull in the same way some people find football dull and simply '22 blokes chasing a bag of air around on a piece of grass'.... It's not dull, it's just not your bag. Funny you should bring up the 'technical excellence' because it is exactly that which I think has reduced the spectacle in recent years. Take it back to the 1980s and watch the likes of Mansell, Villeneuve, Senna, Rosberg, Piquet et al wheel banging and ragging the tits off the cars to not only chase down a rival, but pass him too. As for the comment about impressive crashes, I treat the same people who watch the GP hoping for that as I do rubber-neckers on the motorway.
  24. I thought Nike tried to get the England contract at last renewal only to lose out again to Umbro. And then I thought they'd extended their deal to something ridiculous like 7 or 8 years? As for us not likely to to be sticking with Adidas if Ashley takes over Umbro, I can't understand that idea. Adidas pay a fucking shitload of money to be the company which whos label appears on our shirts. So why the hell would Ashley wave goodbye to that cash in favour of awarding the contract to a company he owns?
