  1. Is it a constant problem or does it just happen if you're doing something fiddly? It's worth getting it checked out like. Most common cause is anxiety, but if you can rule that out then it's possibly something like low blood sugar. Difficult to say really. I've had it for aslong as I remember. It's constantly there but it does get worse two or three times a day for about half an hour/an hour. It doesn't really come on when i've been doing anything paticular, it just happens. I get that. It's something my Dad has too, only a lot worse. Doctor told me it's whats known as a Hereditary Benign Tremor, whatever that is.... Did say it's nothing to worry about.
  2. Why's that? I thought they had a good relationship. You not thinking of Fowler? Was he not in charge when Own pissed them around and fucked off to Madrid? Houllier was sacked in May, Owen left in August - Benitez sold him....
  3. It's interesting like.... Last season there was a protest after the home game with Blackburn which resulted in the manager losing his job before the next home game (albeit a couple of away games in between). I seem to remember there was a protest after the Sheffield United game earlier this season but nothing came of it. Then Blackburn return to SJP, beat us again and another protest followed by another change in management. Coincidence or does Fred compare our progression to that of Blackburn, especially since the appointment of Souness 3 years back. Another interesting statistic someone point out to to me the other day was this: John Hall became chairman in January 1992. Within a month he'd sacked the manager and appointed Keegan and got it right 1st time. Keegan left his post at the same time SJH handed over the reins to Shepherd five years later. When the next appointment is made, Shepherd will be appointing his sixth manager in 10 years and with perhaps the exception of SBR (who was the man John Hall wanted to replace KK), he's got it wrong every single time.
  4. Is he the guy who used to write for N-O?? Speaking of which, who was it who always used to end his posts with: Writer Newcastle-Online ??
  5. The best Formula One racer there has ever been. Never in the best car, always was the best on the grid. Awesome, totally awesome. Rest in peace you crazy fool.
  6. Sent home cos they're sick of his whinging proabably
  7. In the advanced controls for the 'Volume Control' on my laptop, I've got a stupid check box called PC Spk Mute (see below) which, when checked, completely over-rides the mute check boxes on the normal volume control settings. Therefore it doesn't matter if the speakers are muted or not, if that box is checked, you hear nothing.
  8. There's two Reading fans at work who are pissing themselves about the whole Sidwell situation. They can't understand why Newcastle are interested, let alone Chelsea. A mediocre player at best who has perhaps one decent game in ten was how one of them described him. Ludicrous!
  9. WTF Cluedo? Whatever it is, it's not funny.... The parents made an error (and one that any number of parents will have done over the years and got away with it) and must be beside themselves with worry.
  10. Doesn't seem to prevent you.....
  11. I see where Wacky and J69 are coming from on this one Steve. They're not judging them on class, they're point out that the press would judge them differently if they came from a council estate rather be a well to do family. Sadly, they're right.
  12. I had to chuckle when they were interviewing him outside SJP on SSN. He said something like: "I dunno what the fans think, unlike you David I've not been stopping them on the streets and asking..." No, because you know damned well we'd tell you what we fucking think of you - twat!
  13. How many pages did you go head to head with Fop for?
  14. Anyone know what Gazza's up to these days?
  15. I wish he'd fuck off!
  16. Well would you turn down the offer? Whilst it may have been sensible to turn down THE poisoned chalice of English football, equally a chance like that doesn't come around very often. Also if he's resigned and not been sacked, not sure he'll be getting a huge pay off (he was only on a 1 year rolling contract anyway). Utter bollocks as usual, he was clearly sacked. If you mean that he was asked to resign, I agree with you. I don't think the decision was his.
  17. I agree with you Luke, it is all down to the money at stake. Shame really but with football becoming more of a business than a sport, the entertainment side of things has been drained away. Chelsea could have changed it, but they were more focused on winning.
  18. Yeah forgot about that one... Speaking of the Preston connection, isn't 'God' the current no.2 down there?
  19. Yes or more about the right "qualifications". For Germany he knew that he needed someone to help him out with tactics and training. After getting rejected by Rangnick, he ended up with Löw who had a track record for playing attacking football and a decent club record. It's probably not as easy to attract someone to become assistant at club level, but if you go for Klinsmann a lot will depend on the staff he is able to hire. But I'd have more confidence in Klinsmann doing it than a lot others. He won't simply go for a couple of retarded nice old boys... So matching him up with Shearer's not likely to happen then?
  20. Neil McDonald??? Holy Jesus, he has a point - part of the coaching setup at Preston who've just missed out on the play-offs and I'm pretty sure he did some coaching time under Big Sam at Bolton. And of course has that Newcastle connection.
  21. It epitomises what the game has become to me...... focused totally on defence. Keegan said in that interview the other week that, had Newcastle won the league in 1996, it would have changed the face of English football and other teams would have followed the entertaining style of making sure you score one more than the opposition does. Instead, people see what Keegan did as a failure and are too scared to end up the same way so defensive, some would say 'Arsenal-style' football has become the norm. I think the only club in the country which challenges that theory is perhaps Man Utd. It's not pretty, it's not that entertaining, but it does appear to be effective.
  22. When you say the right assistant, are you talking about experience?
