Coming from the "Queen of Excel"?! Anyway fuck all to do with my role - I'm service delivery. I leave that shit to the nerds.

These dickheads who cyber attacked M&S came after us last night. Thankfully their target was switched on enough to know it was hooky but it seems any British brand who has posted decent financial results in recent months is on their hit list. Utter cunts

Inside 3 years he’s scored against every current PL club. There’s only two (Leeds and Luton) who he hasn’t scored against.

Yeah that's a valid point. Forest should win on Sunday. Chelsea and Us can't both take 3 points so either Forest would draw level with both of us, or leap ahead of one of us.
-
You think? I thought aside from the last 10 mins they were the better team, the penalty was against the run of play - they definitely deserved a point. I noticed as well that Yates & Hudson-Odoi aside, their injuries have been dealt with.
-
Exactly this. Of all the 'six pointers' we've even be involved in, this one is huge. There are two things that leave me a bit more positive about it - - Villa play ahead of us this weekend and it's away to Bournemouth. Can easily see them dropping points in that one. - Chelsea will have a second 'six pointer' to deal with. I still think it'll end with us, Arsenal, Man City & Forest finishing top 5. Our point was massive, but so too was Forest's last night.

Aye my favourite seasons over all the years were 92/93 & 93/94. Few gave us any chance when we were promoted and we absolutely stormed that first season in the Prem - it was an absolute joy to watch. And I get the sentiments being shared about winning the cup - it's the only time this club has reduced me to tears and even watching it back it stokes the same emotion. We will never eclipse that feeling because the enormity of it was the length of time we'd been waiting for it. As Clery said it means more that we did it when we did, and with the players we did.

No one would admit to that, surely?

No chance. If it's anything like you it'll have a breakdown every 5 mins.

Haven't you got a dismembered rabbit to deal with?

Conversely he's considered on of the best strikers in Europe and is coveted by several of the leading clubs. If we can't provide him with CL football and the likes of Barcelona go on the hunt for him, I'd expect his exit would be inevitable. I said back in March before the Cup Final that if you asked me what was more important, winning silverware or qualifying for the CL, I'd struggle to answer. Winning the cup was such an emotional experience, it was important in terms of the decades this club have been devoid of success. But most important for the future, is definitely CL qualification. The Partizan Belgrade penalty shoot-out failure in 2003 is seared into memory. We went on a hell of a run in the UEFA Cup that year, but ultimately we lost ground on those teams around us. We need to avoid that happening again.

I'll be 48 this July. My eldest isn't far off the age I was when I first set eyes on Phil Craig's version of this board - wasn't it on 'linuxdriven' or something like that? Horrendously unstable at times.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Villa v Spurs has been brought forward 2 days on account Spurs want to avoid it being so close to the Europa League final. Getting ahead of themselves - come on Bodo/Glimt!! -
Agree with this, and for all the reasons you state. I'm not CT levels of shitting myself about us having to win every game, but missing out on the CL will be more than a passing disappointment. Especially as it's highly likely that one of Spurs or Man Utd seem set to be in it next season. Having got ahead of both those fuckers at last, we don't need to be giving them the opportunity to get past us again.
-
The issue is he's too good not to play in the CL and whilst he clearly loves it here, you wouldn't blame him for agitating the move that would provide him with that - it's more likely we'd have a line up of clubs come for him if we don't get over the line so for me, it's imperative we do so. And while we would command a massive fee for him, there's no guarantee it would get reinvested as effectively. So for me I have absolutely no desire of a Europa League adventure. It'd be a massively disappointing end to the season.
-
The issue we have is that ending up in the Europa League may result in losing key players. If by adventure you mean we stand a better chance of winning it, yep we do ... with the squad we currently have, but if dropping into that competition means Isak is on his way? No thanks...
