    Not nice to lose two on the bounce but hardly surprising, although we must get points against 'lesser' teams now, there's no room for error. The win against Liverpool gave us 3 vital points and in fairness, if we'd have drawn all three of our last games we'd be happy but we'd have exactly the same points.

    One good thing is that you can be fairly sure that whatever he says is what they want him to say at least. We certainly don't want to lose any of our key players, a good loan striker like Keane and I'd be happy this window.

    The single most depressing place I have ever visited. I used to play in a covers band and always hated going anywhere near there. At one gig we went for fish and chips and there were steel bars to protect the staff.

    tbf Leazes is right about a lot of things. In the scheme of things, the Hall and Shepherd era is one of the only times where the people running the club had the ambition that our club deserves. He just doesn't know when to stop sometimes and the fact is by the end we were spending money on utter shite.

    Well the one positive thing is that this decision is clear from any outside influence. This is 100% an Ashley decision. No "dodgy" temperament to blame (Keegan), no "excessive demands" (Shearer), no "he wasn't our man" Allardyce. This was Hughton. The guy who got us promoted. The guy who saved your arse. The guy who was on a TINY salary. The guy who didn't get to splash the cash. The guy the fans, players and even the media liked. This one's all your Mikey. Let's see how he does, eh?
