  1. Don't expect a humiliation via the score line but i think they will pass us to death and dominate the possession scoring a couple in the process - not sure we can cause them to break sweat at the back but stranger things have happened - 0 - 2 for me anything higher than fours to nowt and Allardyce should really hold his hands up and fuck off
  2. Damned if you do and possibly damned if you don't - He isn't Ashleys man and thats a big factor as no loyalty is a given thing - Ashley has the money but whether he has the trust in Allardyce to spend it wisely and create a team is another matter - we are a shambles at the moment which isn't something even the most anti-sam pundits would have predicted - boring and efficient is what i imagined and personally would have accepted not the lack of tactical nouse and motivation that the team is displaying at the moment. IF he is going to give him the chop i just hope its now before january and with someone ready to move straight in - i hope he doesn't do it as it just fuels the fire for the southern scumbag press but a man like Ashley is not used to second best and i think he may be ready to wield the axe.
  3. He is starting to sound like Terry Butcher when he was manger of Sunderland - thats all he went on about - rolling his sleeves up and scrapping for results etc. - worrying - i thought you could improve your performance by playing some organised football and not making wank decisions before and during the game - then again what do i know
  4. I was watching espn classics last night and newcastle v leicester was on (96/97 season) what a fuckin team we had (Ginola and beardsley on the BENCH!) every one of them was class and i was just thinking to get back to that level of player quality would be magic - but how on in gods name are we goin to do it if we carry on with this bollocks about Owen - who cares what he thinks or feels or wants - just get him on the pitch scoring goals and get us into europe - nothing else matters - bloody hell man we have a chance of of gettin back in with the elite and as usual a bunch of fuckin mongs want to stir a load of shite and piss off the best striker we have had since Alan in his prime and sir les graced our football pitch. And by the way i remember the halcien days of Varadi, cunningham, mirandhinia, shoulder and all the rest of the also rans over the years and i would never have beleived we would even have had a chance of being a top club back then - be very careful because mediocrity is casting its shadow
  5. I don't know what the problem is - just cos he isn't a gobshite who shouts his mouth off about loving the club/fans etc. he gets castigated. Fact is when he plays he scores and is better than 99% of any other strikers doing that. Do you really think Anelka would show any more love/committment than him for the club? i think not and that would go for any of the worlds top strikers. Yes he loves playing for England but if one the greatest world cup moments in English history(the argentina goal)was created and experienced by anybody at that age it would leave a positive feeling in them to play for their country that would last for the rest of their lives. He is a glory boy but when he gets a run of games and scores in the majority of them then thank god he is ours and not some frenchie whingeing on about moving to a BIG club every five minutes.
  6. I think I hear the wheels of a distant bandwagon begin to roll down south and the media guttersnipes have got their seats pre-booked in the comfy end - this is the kind of sensationalist, stereotypic geordiophobia that would only eminate from those parts - jump on its a free for all - ignore the fattist chants at viduka the tumorist chants at Roeder etc. And how the fuck can that put us on a par with fans who chant about deaths and disasters? Thanks pal but i would rather take the tardis than a bandwagon - oh and for your information the Robledo brothers weren't bleached white but that didn't stop them gettin hero worshipped more than forty years ago - you knob I can see this gettin blown out of all proportion and the fa doin something silly
  7. I remember Robbie Elliot suffering the same type of break when he was at Bolton - really nasty and pretty stomach churning to look at - I don't think Elliot played for a year but he seemed to make a full recovery - whether Dyer can come back after this is a different story- when all is said and done I feel a bit sorry for him - yes he was a cock at times but if you had more money than anybody else your age , the pick of any lass you wanted and everybody tellin you how great you are all the time i think it would affect anybody detrimentally. I thought when he was on top of his game he busted a gut for us but it went sour and it wasn't all his fault
  8. Maybe Albert just thought he was out of his depth and told the management as much - I wouldn't have thought it would just be a case of getting rid without some feedback from the player - its unfortunate but without in depth research on a player its a lottery even with the research nowts nailed on
  9. As far as anderson goes he was a solid player but got nicked for pace a bit too often - like you said 100% committed tho-as farr as Riquelme and Deco are concerned both are amazing playmakers and if i had to chose i would say Riquelme would suit us better as long as he keeps motivated - He is a total magician as close to brazils Socrates as i have ever seen - genius
  10. Rozenthal was good - Zog was ok but he had the beating of his man and never went past hin - carr got a slagging in the papers but i didn't think he was that bad until he started to tire - taylor wants to be careful he doesn't turn himself into a liability - he got caught in possession too often poncing about
  11. A bit Shit? she's fuckin terrible - she sounds like a howling banshee when she gets excited - she is deffo a screamer - got nowt against women commentating but she is just not good at it and doesn't have the voice to carry it off - saying that like its not a sexist thing cos that spoon that does the sunderland games for radio newcastle is just as bad
  12. I thought Sam was of the opinion that Baines was too short - or is that just more oliver shite - 7mill is a lot for him like
  13. Steve bruce is goin to need all his management skills with that one - good on his day and 6mill is about right when you look at Bent to spurs but whether he will deliver enough to warrant that money is another question
  14. Agreed - for once we are in aposition of power which we should take full advantage of - for all his detractors he still is more than useful and as such its got to be 6mill plus. The papers are already talking about our inertia in the market which is disappointing because it is beginning to feel like that - fingers crossed we can start moving again soon
  15. Reporting that West Ham are goin to go for Dyer on talksport this morning - might be some mileage in this. Not sure whether it is reassuring that there is no gossip about us buying anybody or not - cud mean that there are no leaks from the club and that all our business is being discussed privately - or maybe were just not in for anybody
  16. I saw this lad play acouple of times for the german under 21 team(at least i think it was - there is that many U-19,U20 andthat) he seemed alright but nothing to get excited about - can't really understand why they need more midfielders - defenders would be more important for them
  17. I remember that fantastic goal he scored against us in the CL a few years ago - it all seemed so easy for him - however i think someone has told him he is the greatest footballer that ever lived - and he believes it - radio rental and another wasted talent in the Robert mould. I still can't quite grasp how a player like Robert just slipped into insignificance - i thought he was truly magnificent and had the potential to be one of our greatest ever players - its a cryin shame
  18. Some goal that - looks pretty good - he has pace and skill - a rare combination
  19. Who do we reckon it is then?? hope its not wes brown like
  20. He sacked his agent recently because he didn't get a wedge of cash as a signing on fee - i would think that is possibly what he is after and is basically touting his availability by not committing himself - unfortunate that the two strikers that we have which are blessed with pace are fuckin us about - Sams not daft though and i reckon if he does go ke will have someone lined up fairly sharpish
  21. Obviously not then - must have been another french midfielder i was thinking about - France international - interesting link
  22. Just been linked on Sky sports - is that the bloke who kept gettin sent off for Liverpool?
  23. Can't see Mr Ashley wanting a bozo like shepherd left at the club, shouting his mouth off all the time - I stated when all this kicked off that i didn't think he ponced about in his business dealings - looks like i was right - untenable position i think is the city speak for fatties plight
  24. Well if the takeover news goin on is concluding in the next few days then get the warchest open - i certainly think he maybe pissed off playing second fiddle to Cole and he would be guaranteed a starting berth here - wud be the best left back we have had since probably beresford imo
