  1. ffs man, as soon as he goes Sol Campbell is coming. this is what Ashley will do for the time being, sell a few more 'stars' for 3-6 million and bring in much cheaper replacements. his main aim will be to get the 2 Argies off the wage bill and possibly follow that with Barton/Smith/Nolan/Xisco/Geremi. by the time of the last week of the window, I'd expect those premier clubs who haven't got off to a good start {Bolton, Stoke, Hull, Blackburn, Pompey} to be sniffing around Barton and Smith but until it happens, games will be won and the chance of a quick return to the ptremier will still be on. Not sure about your theory tbh - so far shitloads of first team players have gone and you reckon another four or five to go on top of Taylors departure and so far they have brought in one KID who , I am led to beleive, is getting most of his wages paid by Manu. I really don't think this is about shipping high earners for the good of the club this is pillaging the valuables with reckless abandon. Was Taylor a high earner? I would think for what he means to the club they could have subsidised his wages with fees from the sales so far. And yet another ITK theory goes down the pan because i cannot beleive shearer would sanction this on the eve of his appointment
  2. Thats that then On the yellow ticker now - wonder if he has the option to say no
  3. Did you see the game? I did, and he was mediocre, couple of nice touches second half on the right wing, but not a bad start, just average. Coloccini in the first half, oh dear, that one where he had the ball and the black bloke was nearly through but he wouldn't slide oh dear. You could argue that he was worried a mistimed tackle would end up with him sent off, I think it was more due to the fact he's shite. I was saying to the kid next to me £70k a week would probs = the accumulative wage of the owls starting 11. Steady is better than Ryan Taylor I suppose. I didn't think he was up to much and looked a bit of a liability but give him a chance and he might come good
  4. Not sure tbh I thought some of Sholas flicks and dummies were different class whereas Carroll was more the willing grafter - second half that beautiful dummy to get xisco in (who ballsed it up) was excellent don't you think?
  5. He is getting pelters in the tabloids - what a pity Linky? LINK Hope it works if not football365
  6. You have to pay people a pittance to operate those turnstiles you know. What with the pathetic attendance figure last night i should obviously appreciate it wouldn't be financially viable to employ another 20 people for the evening to open a couple more gates - minimum wage is a killer

  8. Decent performance - Shola's goal awseome and again him and Carroll ruffed up their backline ably supported by Enrique and Jonas. Collocinni was awful first half but must have got a shot of summit at half time cos after that he was tremendous. Saylor was very good but Smith and Nolan were poor - very little energy and drive and guthrie when he came on lifted things tremendously. My main concern would be on the right because Raylor was awful and that Simpson kid is a liability in fact so bad that i would just play Raylor there with Guthrie or Geremi. Xisco is very average. Was fuckin pissed off that Colo and Jonas didn't bother their arse celebrating the goal - stood out like a sore thumb and is a concern for morale - quicker sold and replaced the better. Wednesday were decent and the front two were a danger all night - i would have them in our team very quick and skillful - good players MOM - Enrique
  9. The turnstiles are a fucking mare - I got their last night about 7.10 and didn't get to my seat till 7.40 - was worse on saturday cos there were even fewer turnstiles open - fuckin joke man
  10. Aye some bloke was on SSN talking about it - he basically hasn't spoke to seymour pierce, Llambias or Ashley so can hardly be deemed credible - just fucking let it go to Moat if indeed it is for sale and stop the fuckin stalling with pipe dream ideas
  11. I smell a done deal Just what I was thinking. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Could be taken as an indicator that Shearer could be on his way or more beleivably that Ashley is raping the squad yet again and not replacing anyone using the excuse of a takeover as a cover story In all honesty I didn't even consider the Shearer factor and just assumed it was the latter. True - that prediction hardly makes me gypsy bag

  13. That's utterly ridiculous. For the first he still had to beat his markers and for the second he got between two defenders and put the ball past the keeper from a fairly tight angle with a great header. You make it sound like both were like Luque's against Palermo. He scared the shite out of the opposition - his confidence is obviously shot but as it started to come back he looked better - he took his goals , the first one was a bit lucky but it was telling that the second one from a similar position was taken with aplomb. He needs to keep the aggression and hunger and keep scoring to win the fans over but i would rather have him than alot of other strikers in this league. Raylor was fuckin awful bar that cross and hid constantly until we were three up - Enrique is what he is which can be very good and then ten seconds later try to make a two yard pass and kick it straight out
  14. If we had been away from home i think he would have gone - the treatment Barton is getting is nothing short of scandalous btw, you can tell the refs are itching to give him a card and the fact that the reading players were milking it didn't help
  15. Exactly. Far from last minute you tool, every one was well timed and howcome he didn't even recieve a yellow if they were sending off tackles He did. Then he got a talking to for one about 5 minutes after that. You always run the risk when you tackle whilst sliding on your arse That's his game like and I don't have a problem with it as such. He'll pick up plenty more cards if he's a regular though. I thought he had a decent game but would you not agree that some of the ott tackles he made were in non-danger areas of the field and therefore unnecassary. I remember one he made and there was a gasp from the crowd as if we were all thinking 'if he doesn't get this ball he is off' - he did like so alls well

  17. Personally hope they get a poor string of results and boo MON out of the job - they are already having a dig at him - call us deluded - love to watch that turn to shit
  18. He's a puff and will spend more time on his arse than his feet in this league. I'd rather we talk Shearer, Lee and Sir Les back into their boots than watch that spineless twat. By the way is Speed still playing? There's our Butt replacement. Lovenkrands is a fanny but I still think he'd be a good signing for this league. He is made of balsa wood but at least he knows how to poach a goal and make runs into the right areas - play him upfront and he could get into double figures - we could have had a field day on saturday if we had had the pace to turn their back four with some pace through the middle
  19. The revenue from food and drink/Sponsorship/corporate and tv deals must make a major contribution to the finances even though I realise this must be greatly reduced after relegation
  20. I reckon this is Ameobi's level and that isn't his fault - hope he gets a hatrick every week. As I have no axe to grind with him I will cheer him off - anyone who doesn't is not a true supporter
  21. Priceless - couldn't happen to two nicer people
  22. Is he expected to wait for the takeover to go through like and put his career on hold? point I'm making is that given he's a local lad he can do very well for himself staying here and all that goes with that. He could go to Everton and be calamity Taylor. Would he enjoy himself being hero worshipped here and helping to get us promoted or maybe finding it tough going in an Everton side that probably is going to be overtaken by other clubs. I think when your a local lad there has to be a massive reason to move on. I'm a homebird and would hate to have to uproot and move, especially for no more money. I think he might struggle at Everton because he's just not that good. He'd do well for us in the Championship for us though, I'm pretty sure of that. The club's an absolute shambles though so it's probably a good career move from his point of view. I am not sure he would enjoy the fans leniency that he gets here anywhere else like
  23. I think its nice the way they have ticked all of the BBC 's politically correct checkboxes with the presenters - the asian gay frontman, female lesbian on the phones and Steve Claridge looks fresh off a sunshine coach after a day window licking
