Apparently flying back as we speak to finalise the negotiations for the club - allegedly
-
Yeah its not just Krul's saves, its also the fact he looks like he'll command his area and makes his mind up straightaway, also i think his distribution will be better than Harpers and it will certainly be alot quicker! Very true - aside from the shotstopping heroics he is a very good kicker of a ball and really looks to start attacks straightaway - Harper looks a bit wooden to me and he is prone to hoofing the ball straight out of play

Barton left out of Toon side for West Brom clash
Norbert Colon replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
This has got to be fuckin deliberate - best player in pre-season and he takes a fit the day before the game - its fuckin typical - does not bode well -
You're living in a parallel universe. In what world has Xisco done anything to deserve to start ahead of Shola. Sorry, for me, I deserve a start ahead of Shola. How many chances has he had. Lets give someone else the chances be it ranger carrol or Xisco. Carrol maybe but Xisco is absolutely gash - I have watched a canny few times and he has very little to offer

They were but I don't think Boro helped themselves with their front line being so lightweight - loved the way they completely nullified boros' wingers by jumping all over them from the start - that Yeates looks handy but annoyingly like phil Stamp
-
They probably shut a couple of stands out of camera view
-
Not sure thats his level as he was no great shakes against Leeds - hope he pulls his finger out and does something, if only to increase his profile in the transfer market so we get more money for him
-
Honestly you would think this shite hadn't been written before - thoughts? err fuck off
-
I actually thought Smith hid reasonably well when he came back at the end of last season - despite being clearly totally shit
-
He is a good player - raw - but a physical prescence, i am not happy he has left, however, it maybe good news as his and Beyes' sale may be the decisive factors that push the sale of the club through, in which case I would piggy back him to London myself

If we are going by Viz characters, surely Aldridge Prior would have been more appropriate. JFK always had a tendency to be a bit economical with the truth when he was our manager. He just comes across as a mentalist on the SSN interview. Jellyhead tbfh. Terry Fuckwit iyam
-
They Just interviewed Kinnear on Talksport and it sounded like he didn't have a clue - its what he was offered before he went gammy but it was pretty obvious he was clutching at straws - reckons he won't get the job if the club is sold and ended up saying that he didn't think he would get the job if Ashley stayed on ??- senile
-
Exactly - If he is gonna stay then fine just appoint a manager and allow him to get rid of the high earners and bring some new players in - common sense - a rare commodity at NUFC. As for a manager I originally thought Shearer with some momentum and a bit of cash would have been a great idea, however, now i think somebody with a shit load of experience who isn't over the hill maybe Curbishley or Boothroyd would be a decent shout

£10m bid for Bassong from Spurs turned down.
Norbert Colon replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Damn right - I'd fine him six weeks then let him stew for five weeks before selling him to Hull for 10million and then wave as we pass whilst swapping divisions next season - wanker - by all means put in a transfer request but do your fuckin job in the meantime -
Aye it was class - he started really well but then broke his leg i think and that was pretty much that. It was rumoured his lass had an explosive temperament (allegedly gave carl a good kicking from time to time) so the queue jumping comment isn't a surprise

£10m bid for Bassong from Spurs turned down.
Norbert Colon replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
I reckon a genuine 10m offer for Bassong should be accepted in the current climate (he doesn't want to be here anyway) but if he is after more then he may once again shit in his own nest - personally i think he has already gone and its just a matter of time before the yellow ticker announces a medical on the go -
Thats what a good pre-season can do for you - looked 110 last year

£10m bid for Bassong from Spurs turned down.

Bassong and Beye will be gone in a couple of days - whether Harry is doing his usual act of talking about signing a player before he mentions it to the club involved remains to be seen - I can only hope that if Bassong does go to Spurs he takes up the mantle that Kevin Scott left behind when he went there. -
He had to do spadefuls mind when the likes of Guttirez, Nolan, Enrique et al would get into good upfield positions then inexplicably lose possession - its not really any wonder he got caught a couple of times
-
I reckon because he stuck his head over the parapet he took alot of the flying bullets, whereas, alot of those cunts who hid and faked passion should have had a bit. Don't get me wrong I don't think he is great but others deserve as much shit. Even against Leeds the usual suspects went missing again for 60% of the game.

Keith Harris: Club may be sold this month, but not by our first game
Norbert Colon replied to Amir's topic in Newcastle Forum
Key one of them for me - thanks -
Its a good bit of business and it looks like they have the ability to maximise the profits from sales - but whether any of this can be re-invested is another matter - frustrating thing is though if you take into account the parachute payments plus the money you can get from sales then chuck in the lower wage obligation its ridiculous to that Ashley can't see the opportunity to take us forward and get back to the top flight and then sell

Sir Bobby Robson passes away age 76

R.I.P. True gentleman and football legend -
Keegan - Proved he still had it and given some cash and a fair crack of the whip he could do it all again

Sometimes looks a class act - apparently the fall out with Gallas was a problem which wouldn't go away whether that affected form is debatable - good signing imho - better than anything they have had at cb for a good while He's a good player, don't get me wrong but he looked like he was going to be fantastic at one stage. I think Wenger will probably replaced him adequately enough though. He usually does. Agree with that. Always thought he had the attributes to make a good holding midfielder as well. His brother is certainly one of the best around at that mind. Man citys back line is going to have some pace - not one of them is a donkey (bar richards and i think he will be on his way) I think Richards struggled last year but I still think he has a lot to offer and I'd be very surprised if he left. Bit of a make or break season for him at Man City though. New contract syndrome with Richards - this might wake him up a bit tho - i agree make or break after looking a top notch prospect - onohua has overtaken him in terms of development - the whole Man city thing is set to make the PL very interesting - laugh at them if the wheels fall off or laugh at the wankers like manu, chelsea, arsenal et al crying about money ruining the game if man city take off
