  1. The referee and linesmans performance was worse than that cunt that did the Chelsea Barca semi - he was letting them encroach on free kicks, didn't give four obvious handballs, generally most 50/50 decisions went against us and to cap it all the non-penalty decision - i agree they were shite and there for the taking but i can't really criticise Hughton because it wa a good team selection - just a bad day at the office. I think Carroll was a brilliant impact sub
  2. We fuckin mullered them at times and if we had got the early goal it could have been very different - completely different performance to QPR we were much better and Lovenkrandts linked well with Harewood but the hoofball we often resort to does not suit either of their games. The referees' performance ranked as one of the worst I have ever seen - absolute stonewall penalty and loads of decisions went against for no other reason than he wanted to piss on our chips - utter wanker and a disgrace
  3. We missed R Taylors set piece delivery (amazingly) cos guthrie had a mare - agree about harewood and i like Zurab, very composed, Routledge was really good for them and i thought they were a good side aided by the fact that they could run rings around our midfield with their pace
  4. Result was nearly handed to QPR on a plate due to Hughtons selection and Butts point blank refusal to carry out the managers instructions - the sooner he is out of our club the better - at one point Enrique(who ranged from utter dogshite to average) actually went over to the bench to tell them he was gettin no cover cos ginger boy kept pissing off into the midfield, but when Hughton shouted at Butt he might as well of stuck his fingers up at him and he went to the RM position so Nolan had to be brought across to help Jose - it was fuckin disgraceful
  5. Collocinni did well but Enrique was very poor - Simpson started well till he got clogged and I thought Ryan Taylor got stuck in and made some good tackles. Agree with Barton verdict, he was terrible and didn't look like he cared much either
  6. Its telling that we concede 2 when Smith is out - not sure that set up of the midfield and attack was right seemed like he swapped Nolan with Guthrie upfront because Nolan didn't have the legs - just invited constant pressure - bollocks anyhow cause the smoggies will be fuckin lovin it
  7. The game doesn't pass him by as much in this division and he has grown into the leadership role now i think partly because alot of the big time, big egos have jumped ship. On that note a thumbs up for Danny Simpson so far - his attitude is fuckin brilliant and he is always the first to be celebrating when we score - nice to see
  8. People going to places like this reminds me of a right tit i met in Bulgaria some years ago - he was like Alan Whicker - going on about the Cook Islands and fuck knows where else. Don't get me wrong I like to travel and have been to some nice places but I wouldn't use it like top trumps.
  9. I was thinking during the Leicester game how true the cliche about your mistakes being punished in the top flight is - I'm hoping the confidence brought by getting away with it and keeping clean sheets will actually reduce the mistakes - for example I think Collocini only made that one mistake at the end which is low for him. It could have cost us the points but didn't and that's what gives me hope. If you took todays performance, as an example, you would think half of the premier league teams would have knocked three past us just by taking advantage of defensive lapses and that is the difference.
  10. Yep, the kind of decision that is killing boxing as a sport. I know its subjective but the only bloke in that building who thought Fury had won was the ref. Should be judges for this type of fight (and 12 rounds). It also showed Fury up for what I thought he was - an arm puncher who has good speed but will never cut it above national standard.
  11. Thats a really good point - Fuckin Kinnear standing at the doors of SJP milking the adulation was a real eye opener - it was more about the ego than the football. Fair play to hughton he has acheived the art of management (in any business) - be like a bird swimming on the lake - look calm and serene above water but paddling like fuck under it
  12. Quite, Barton is enough of a loose cannon without another professional lunatic to keep the hacks busy (be the fans fault, joke club etc..) He certainly has enough ability to get us out of this division but as a long term option? not so sure and combine that with his off field antics its would be a no from me
  13. Aye he promised much but delivered little - did he miss a penalty for us? cup game maybe?
  14. Divint knock Terry Wilson he would have been mint if he could have stopped falling over and giving the ball away - Andy Walker was a machine .........in scotland Aye... and Paul Moran would have been alright had he not mentioned to Gazza he was coming here on loan! Can't remember Dave Mitchell like but the rest of them , friggin hell nee body must have seen them play before they were brought in, Wilson was slower than Nolan but still managed to get a succession of hamstring injuries(?) and Walker was the weakest player I have ever seen , I reckon Lee Makel could have arm wrestled him.
  15. Divint knock Terry Wilson he would have been mint if he could have stopped falling over and giving the ball away - Andy Walker was a machine .........in scotland
  16. Exactly. NUFC.com did a piece the other week showing all the quotes from players who went on to leave. They were along the lines of: "NO WAY AM I EVER LEAVING NEWCASTLE, MAN. THIS IS MY HOME. NO WAY, MAAAN, NO WAY." And, it's only my opinion, but I think Enrique is woeful. He was shocking in the Premier League and can barely cope at this level, though I will admit that he has had one or two flashes of competence this season. He just can't pass a ball or pick up a man. Sorry like but Enrique has been very good so far this season and rarely does anyone get past him - as well as the excellent cover he provides for his centre backs (like last night - were you there?)
  17. I'm struggling to get my head around the spending situation there. O'Neil never seems to have a bad word to say about Randy Lerner but he seems just as tight with the purse strings as Deadly Doug! Eh? Villa have spent a decent amount of Lerner's money (not least £12m on Milner). The difference is, he's not been allowed to go daft like Chelsea and Citeh have. Of all the 'new' football owners out there, Lerner is the best by far IMO. Definitely the best of the new owners but I think he picked the wrong club - I see no reason why the game today would not be sold out and the fact it wasn't merely confirms my view. If that had been us 2nd or 3rd home game in with new players being signed on the back of a cracking season last year there would not have been a seat to be had except in the away end - Villa are truly wank
  18. bravo! Well cherry picked and avoided. If we don't go up this season the few remaining half decent players we still have(Enrique, Taylor etc.) will fuck off because they will only give us one season, therefore, without a very clever manager we will recruit average players due to the reduced income and become a perma-championship club - and that is a danger which far outweighs a heroic cup run (which we will ultimately not win)
  19. What a woeful crowd at Villa - the empty seats are everywhere - top six team is doubtful this season
  20. Swap deal for Nolan.... as for the other - Wycombe Wanderers That could be a good call - Nolan for Shittu plus 3 mill?
  21. If i was an Ipswich fan i think i would be worried - his body language smacks of the final months of his Sunderland tenure and similar to then he looks bored and irritated - too many demons running round his head and i think perhaps the players tire of being fearful
  22. Exactly. I don't blame him but save all that shit man. It's bollocks. We'll now be expected to believe he's absolutely heartbroken and so on. Its not like he has been asked to take a reduction in wages or that he has an international place to protect, lets face it there are 5 or 6 defenders ahead of him in that regard, it can only be assumed, if he does go, that it is to further his career and is not even willing to give us a season to get back up. Tbh I couldn't give a shit which of the current crop of players go its the lack of replacements.
  23. Looks a bit like Taylor less the chest beating - couple of those tackles were made with the wrong foot but certainly looks physical and and quick but the most important attribute he possesses will be how cheap he is
  24. Wasn't this the rumour a month ago that he would delay till as late as possible for a golden fuckbye - if its going to be sold (which i fuckin doubt) then this maybe the case
