How'd he react to Vader revealing he's the worst deadbeat dad going? -
Before you start, have you updated your will to bequeath all your worldly possessions to the good people of Toontastic?
-
Nah, that's for stealing.

What's he queuing for if he's already got his ticket? Isn't it assigned seating? Forget the Death Penalty, that's some real barbaric shit right there. -
Were the vendors understanding? Did they send you a replace for nowt, or at least at a...ahem... cut price?

I think we've a much better team than they do, but we're still so suspect at the back and the pressure is going to be massive. Won't be anywhere near as open as it was against Norwich, and that might actually play into our hands. Allardyce will set them up to be, first and foremost, tough to break down. That'll take a lot of pressure off our back line. That said it's the Derby, Sam might decide that if he wins this in some style, he'll get more time from the fans? Sunderland have; us, (h) Everton (a), Southampton (h), Palace (a), before an outrageously difficult december. So surely he'll look at this game as a way to get some currency with the fans? We've got a decent run of games from which we could gets the points to see us through to the January window. Next four are; Sunderland(a), Stoke(h), Bournemouth(a), Leicester (h) before a mixed December. So for me, a draw wouldn't be disastrous and with the front 4 we've got, I'm confident we'll score a couple. I've just no confidence in the back four at the minute.

The first of the new ones is fucking awful and hilariously racist. Right, we've got some aliens, lets give them big lips, make their ears look like dreads, have them lope along like the crows from the Kia-Ora and oh yeah, let's have them talk in an affected patoir that brings Uncle Tom to mind. Then we've got some businessy aliens, let's make them kind of Oriental... they're good with numbers and that, right? Finally there's a greedy merchant, let's give him a massive hook nose and make him sound "a bit jewy" Oh and of course, there's the "Sand People" -

I'm going to try and watch it at the IMAX, but I'm caught between a rock and a Hoth place. Daytime showings will be families, and they're awful. Nighttime showings will be Ubernerds dressed up like this poindexter and they're worse. -

Happy "Fuck You Fergie" day! -
I think we all agree that killing someone as a punishment is barbaric, the issue for me is more the crimes that return a death penalty verdict: In the States the crimes punishable by death are: Causing death by using a chemical weapon or a weapon of mass destruction Killing a member of the Congress, the Cabinet or United States Supreme Court Kidnapping a member of the Congress, the Cabinet or Supreme Court resulting in death Conspiracy to kill a member of the Congress, the Cabinet or Supreme Court resulting in death Causing death by using an explosive Causing death by using an illegal firearm Causing death during a drug-related drive-by shooting Genocide resulting in death Carjacking resulting in death Willful destruction of aircraft or motor vehicles resulting in death. Causing death by aircraft hijacking or any attempt to commit aircraft hijacking. Causing death by kidnapping or hostage taking. First degree murder Murder perpetrated by poison or lying in wait Murder that is willful, deliberate, malicious, and premeditated Murder in the perpetration of, or in the attempt to perpetrate, any arson, torture, escape, kidnapping, treason, espionage, sabotage, aggravated sexual abuse or sexual abuse, child abuse, burglary, or robbery. Murder perpetrated as part of a pattern or practice of assault or torture against a child or children Murder committed by a federal prisoner or an escaped federal prisoner sentenced to 15 years to life or a more severe penalty Assassinating the President or a member of his staff Kidnapping the President or a member of his staff resulting in death Killing persons aiding Federal investigations or State correctional officers Willful wrecking of a train resulting in death Sexual abuse resulting in death Sexual exploitation of children resulting in death Torture resulting in death War crimes resulting in death Large-scale drug trafficking Attempting, authorizing or advising the killing of any officer, juror, or witness in cases involving a Continuing Criminal Enterprise, even if such killing does not occur. Espionage Treason All but 4 of these are just different descriptions of 'a crime that causes death'. In Saudi, however, the death penalty is meted out for: Adultery (Unmarried adulterers can be sentenced to 100 lashes, married ones can be sentenced to stoning.) Apostasy (Apostates are sentenced to beheading but are usually given three days to repent and return to Islam.) Armed robbery Blasphemy Burglary Carjacking Aircraft hijacking Drug smuggling Fornication Home invasion Sodomy, homosexuality, or lesbianism (If a man or woman is sodomized by their own consent, then they will also be sentenced to death along with the sodomizer) Idolatry Murder Rape Sedition Sexual misconduct Sorcery Terrorism Theft (fourth conviction) Treason Waging war on God Witchcraft I mean, let us set aside the fact their omnipotent deity needs so much protection from men saying mean words about him, but for fucks sake, Sorcery? Witchcraft? It's 2015.

Five things Norwich City learned from Newcastle game

That's a terrifying stat. Can't really understand why Neil took Tettey off when Norwich were winning the midfield battle and looking the most likely to score. A Norwich mate was lambasting Tettey early doors; but when he went off their marauding wing players were leaving huge gaps for us on the counter. Re: breaking teams down, I've faith in the variety we have. Mitrovic, Perez and Wijnaldum are all sufficiently different that if the bulldozer fails to break through, and the tricky little dancer can't Paso Doble his way through, then Wijnaldum might be able to arrive late... his way through. The issue for me is definitely getting the ball to those attacking options and controlling the ball enough so that a fairly porous defence isn't troubled as much as it has been in the last few games. 4-4-2 is all well and good, but it doesn't half leave you vulnerable if you lack a really solid centre. Agree with this wholeheartedly Andrew, lets us be firm friends forever and ever. -
Well, the rumours have been circulating that there's been some interest in Matip. With Schalke 3rd, we'd have to hope they drop out of contention for Europe so that he's looking to make the next step up, and then hopefully we'll be able to get Matip in the back door. Mind you, that might tar his image and I wouldn't want to see shit about Matip. Sorry. ftm

Yep, big strong, assured, 28yr old, but there's no way we could get him to swap captaining a Stoke side showing some ambition, for us.

When the ball gets to him, I just feel completely confident he'll keep it or use it well. Mind, I was screaming at him to square it to Sissoko for our 3rd.

Gini Wijnaldum, reigning Dutch player of the year, currently our leading goal scorer, lovely timed runs and good with his head akin to Gary Speed. We’re still short of quality at LB and central midfield. Tiote was more assured on the ball than JC & VA, but the latter is more mobile. I think that’s why he was brought on at ½ time; to try to help defend the flanks. When GW & MS were given license and freedom to attack at will, DJ & PD were often left exposed. I think a Carrick kind of player* would make huge differences to that. We’d be able to control the game a little more, draw less pressure onto the defence. The hoofballs were just coming back if they didn’t immediately find their man. If we had a Carrick kind of player we needn’t look for the long ball. Mitrovic, I thought he had a really good game despite not getting that much service and he’s really beginning to get an understanding with Perez (who also had a good game). AM never looked like picking up a booking despite quite a lot of shirt-pulling and niggles by Norwich. Took his goal brilliantly and was a gnat's fanny hair away from other opportunities (the failed 1-2 with Gini that lead to the opener e.g.). Mbemba is our best defender by a mile. Elliot was all right, don’t hink he could have done much to stop their goals, but that said Krul has pulled off some wonder saves in his time and I don’t believe RE is capable of the unbelievable. Sissoko is the most frustrating footballer we’ve had in a long time. More so than Ben Arfa or Shola or whomever. He could be a top class player; he’s got a footballing brain and sufficient technique to make use of it, he’s got the physique to do it all game every game. It’s just his will that’s lacking. At least with HBA you knew that he wasn’t fit enough to run for days and doesn’t understand how to defend and couldn’t tackle even if he did, MS does. Shola was too slow/unfit, and had no technique, or a footballing brain, but he could ride a bike and eat an apple, so there's that. Sissoko's crosses will get the praise (and rightly so), but the lead up to Wijnaldum’s 1st was brilliant. The shoulder drop, the change of pace, the carefully weighted pass.. Why can’t he do that more often against opposition of Norwich’s “calibre”? I'd still get shot of him if a decent bid comes in because he doesn't do this enough to be worth the gamble. A Norwich mate bemoaned his team’s luck, citing the woodwork, the penalty shout and the offside. But they were absolutely awful at the back & Alex Neil is right when he admitted that taking off Tettey was a massive mistake. When he went off, they lost the steel in the centre that was the platform for the pressure they had us under. -

Definitely. Worry is, there aren't many of those in the Premier League (or lower leagues tbf) and we run the risk of signing a Mangala if we gun for a commanding centre back from the European leagues.

Weird to see just how much freedom Sissoko & Wijnaldum were permitted.
