I didn't find it funny at all which was dissapointing given that the characters were very funny in Knocked Up.

Early July is only a week away like so it's not much of a problem or surprise. Hope the bit about Ben Arfa is true, it would send a very good message out about the club at a time when positives have been few and far between!

I see the chronicle are saying that part of Kinnear's job could be to introduce new players to the media! I agree he knows nothing about football and he's just picked the only person he knows that does know about it. It's still hard to believe Ashley (a guy who's made a fortune in business) could be fooled by someone like JFK.

I agree to an extent but I do have some sympathy with this doddering old geezer who really should have been put out to pasture years ago (well he was really wasn't he, that why it makes no sense that the fat cunt has brought him back!).

I'd barely heard about it before it started so I thought I'd give it a bash. Like Arrested Development it's only short episodes so it's a nice watch for me while I have me breakfast which is why I liked being able to record it on a wednesday night. Having to fuck about with the laptop to watch it will be a pain but I'm sure I'll manage. I'm quite happy to find out Rob Lowe and the other boke who came in with him are staying in it. They seem like really good characters. My favourite thing about it is the theme tune though. It really cheers me up for some reason

I read that this morning and he's right. Why would Ashley put him in this position? It's clear JFK really does want to do well and show everyone how good he is. But it's blatent to everyone that he's not the man to do this. Who is Ashley actually trying to take the piss out of, us or him?

I was gutted to realise that Parks and Rec was finishing it's run on BBC 4 last week. It was getting better and better towards the end of the second series (never watched the first and not sure whether it's worth bothering with now). I guess I'll have to just download seasons 3 - 5.

With a record like that, what could possibly go wrong!

Let be realistic here for a second. Despite the fact that Billy Liar is a complete embarassment to the club, he must have more football knowledge than Llambeze and Ashley! I can see him embarassing us on countless occasssions with his bullshit and courting attention, but from a football point of view it should be an improvement. Of course there are no doubt hundreds of more suitable people out there we could have gone for but doesn't mean our situation hasn't improved.

I don't think you can say people who wanted action can have no complaints like. Of course they can complain. The fact that you wanted action doesn't mean that action ridiculous as this can't be complained at. Aside from anything else, most of the people complaining about Pardew were also complaining about Ashley (and have been for years). But I do agree that you could have almost expected it from Ashley. This was a big reason why I stuck with Pardew as long as I did despite the underperformance last season. I never expected a positive reaction.

My cleaner comes in one morning a week and gets paid fuck all for it. Mind you she's been getting mothers days presents for the last thirty odd years so it's about time she stepped up to the plate!

It's one of the best series ever. Even if it did make less and less sense as it went on. If you like Lynch I can't see how you would fail to like it. If you don't like Lynch then you're wasting your time.

It does make perfect sense that Ashley would think that we need a director of football. Ashley and Lambeze have very little clue about football themselves so bringing in someone who does is a perfectly good idea. The problem is thinking that Billy Liar is the man for the job, but if he's his only mate in football and he's telling him how wonderful he would be then he's going to believe him!

The biggest problem is the whole getting rid of Pardew thing now. As I suspected all along, if Pardew is shown the door, we are likely to be as far away from bringing the type of replacement we all crave as Kinnear is away from reality!

I'm in agreement with this like. Of course I want games like the five nil against manure or the five one against the unwashed but not seeing them isn't going to make me jack it in. If I felt the way I did as the sixth Liverpool goal went in every week I wouldn't go but if we were getting twatted everyweek I wouldn't feel way I did that night (heading towards the third division like we were before Keegan didn't make me feel anywhere near like that). I love being a Newcastle supporter despite the shit we get and nothing this fat cunt has done has ever made me consider giving up my ticket. To be honest, as ridiculous a move as I think this is, I think some people are blowing out of proportion. It doesn't come close to the way Keegan was treated or Hughton for that matter. I don't hate Kinnear (he's far too pathetic to hate) and I've hated Ashley for a long time now so this changes nothing.

It is totally staggering mind. Everyone who I've seen comment on it is totally bewildered. You seriously couldn't make it up!
