  1. So I take it at least a couple of boxes must have recently been sold? Anyone noticed any sheiks in them for the last couple of games?
  2. I'd much rather have Diame playing than Perez or Kenedy who are both fucking pansies who rarely do anything other than give the ball away. Ritchie is our only attacking player who can remotely be relied to play consistently in a slightly positive manner. Unfortunately he's only average in this league. I can't get too down about losing (especially a game that we could have actually got something out of if we had took early chances) after three wins on the bounce. To do better than that is extremely difficult for even the best best teams in the league, and we are certainly nowhere near the very best. It is still disappointing to see how a club like West Ham can financially blow us out of the water and it was blatantly obvious on Saturday that spending decent money gets you much better players. All we have is the manager keeping us in this league.
  3. Watched this yesterday, I thought some of the segments were better than others but as you say it's certainly a compelling watch. What isn't a compelling watch is the new Robin Hood film. What it is, is probably the worst film I've seen all year. It makes no real sense, looks stupid, and has Ben Mendelsohn looking completely bored of playing pretty much exactly the same part that he played in Rogue One and Ready Player One. I'll try not to spoil it for anyone by recommending no one go to see it.
  4. Yeah superstitions are nonsense. I'm going for 2-0 win again.
  5. Jennings could probably a useful cover bowler too at some point. I think it's good to see what Sri Lanka have done today, it was looking at one point that they wouldn't be good enough to make a game of this but they've come back well and you'd have to have them as favourites for this match now.
  6. Curran's start to test cricket has been pretty sensational. As a left armer he gives us something different and his contribution with the bat is more than anyone could have hoped for. Its quite possible that he could be selected for his batting in the future and that would give us the opportunity for some great balance in the side.
  7. Not that much of a surprise given the last match and the bowling requirements. It'll be interesting to see how Stokes and Butler do higher up the order.
  8. Muto makes no difference as it's a dead cert that Perez would have been in for him anyway. I actually think it might help us having to play Ki instead of Shelvey. Voldemort hasn't been in great form (I got told last Friday he'd been carrying an injury for weeks but wanted to keep playing to try to help the team) and Diame upped his game a hell of a lot when he went off. I'll go for another 2-0 prediction.
  9. Great start to his test career for Ben Foakes this morning. Shame the top order batsmen were giving their wickets away again!
  10. Thought we played quite well in the second half. The crowd responded to what seemed like increased effort and the players responded to the crowd a looked a little more confident. After a dreadful first half Diame remembered how to play football and Ki and Schar both looked pretty good. Its a massive win for us and hopefully we can take some confidence away from it because although it’s clear for all to see that we have a weak team, it’s the confidence that’s been really lacking recently.
  11. I don't doubt there will have been some nudging him in the direction of saying something positive about the fat prick but I do actually think he will have just wanted to try and put out some positivity. I'm not going to have a pop at him for that. Especially as he has shown that he does give a fuck about the club.
  12. I'd bet money we won't. Unless the backlash against him trying to be positive gets way out of control.
  13. Watford have a good away record this season and we've struggled against them for years. 2-0 to us.
  14. It's only a one year extension on what he already had so I'd say it's an attempt to make sure we don't lose in him January but also ensure we can get decent money for him after relegation.
  15. I think quite a few people would have enjoyed a pint or two if had been Ashley. And I dread to think what our fan base would come accross like if they were interviewed. I have no doubt quite a lot of people would find it difficult to express anything other than joy at his passing.
  16. Haha my mate just text me to ask whether they were going to try it again. Pemberton and Shearsmith are genius.
  17. Bohemian Rhapsody. Maybe it was just the songs and the excellent lead performance that carried it but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  18. There is also the question of how a boycott would effect the team. The Milan one wasn't when they were looking in real danger of getting relegated. We are in a position where we need points and soon. Whilst I understand the calls to boycott, the team need all the help they can get at the moment.
  19. Apostle. Fucking weird. I'm told it's supposed to be a horror but I can't confirm pr deny that after watching it.
  20. I'm at Ascot on Saturday so I'm hoping my not watching a match for the first time in years will help spark our revival.
