  1. Mint that. That was my first ever away game and I must admit I'd pretty much forgotten all of it. I had it in my mind that we had went one up. As soon as I saw the move starting for Hendrie's goal I remembered that though and the Bessant's tip onto the bar and Mira milking it in front of their fans both came flooding back when I watch them. Most of all I remember shitting myself walking through Stanley Park after the game with my dad. Both sets of fans were pulling out knives and bottles to go at each other. Seem to remember our lot came out of it on top although that might be rose coloured glasses on my part.
  2. A Star Is Born. Well made with two strong performances from the leads, but there are some shit songs from Gaga (can't knock her voice mind) and overall it's a bit too much of chick flick for my tastes.
  3. Fair enough, IMDB has him as playing that role. Glad it's not the case. I can't really see The Rock playing a role in anything to with BTILC still but I do quite like him so we'll see how it goes.
  4. Never watched Central Intelligence but I do like Tango and Cash, particularly the bit where the couple fucking in a car just pop up out of nowhere during a fight/chase sequence for no reason other than to get some tits into the film. They'd never get away with that now and it's not an improvement in cinema. I can't stand Kevin Hart so that put me off Central Intelligence. I watched the first Expendables and it was ok but didn't make me want to watch the rest. Fast and Furious films are terrible. I was forced to watch them with the ex and until the Rock showed up I couldn't see why they were getting made at all. When he turned up they turned into something else (ie there was a plot, however slim) and I was reasonably entertained by that one. Not enough to watch any further ones when I didn't have someone else forcing me to go. Skyscraper is the best action film I've seen in ages. Don't get me wrong, Venom wasn't great and there have been numerous Marvel films that are much better and I dare say I would have had higher expectations if Marvel had made it in a similar vein to Deadpool. But if Marvel had made it like Black Panther, I probably would have enjoyed it less. Incidentally since we've mentioned films with The Rock, apparently he is going to play Jack Burton in a remake of Big Trouble In Little China. I'm prepared to say now that this one of the worst idea's I've heard and it will be fucking terrible.
  5. . Anyone watched Big Mouth? I just watched the second episode last night it's very funny.
  6. Exactly what Ayatollah said. Most of the most polished music in the world has very little interest to me and personally I find that in a lot of cases action films made in the 80's and 90's are, while a bit clunky in places, far more enjoyable to watch than better put together movies that are being released these days.
  7. Killing Eve seems quite good two episodes in.
  8. Antman & The Wasp. Quite good fun. Operation Finale. Interesting story of how Israeli agents captured Adolph Eichmann in Argentina and managed to get him out of the country as a drunk flight attendant.
  9. I actually think it benefitted from not being a Marvel studios film mind. Their polish has gone a bit too far now for me, I liked (to an extent) the fact that it was a bit clunky. If I'd paid to see it it, I would have less than impressed mind. I went to see A Simple Favour last night. It's a bit of a weird film that comes across as Gone Girl made by the Hallmark channel. Reasonably entertaining but again I wouldn't have liked to have paid for it.
  10. Venom. It seems to have been getting panned by critics and took about five minutes to see why. The dialogue is poor, there's surprising little chemistry between Hardy and Williams and the performances in general of the three strong leads was poor. That said, by the end I found myself quite enjoying Eddie Brock/Venom combination. It feels like they missed a trick with the humour there could have been with them but what they got in was quite good fun.
  11. Do you think teams will be queuing up to sign most of our players? The likes of Lascelles, Lejeune and Shelvey will most likely be away but I think the likes of Joselu, Atsu, Manquillo, etc won't have a hell of a lot of good options. Basically there's not much in the squad that I'd be afraid of losing.
  12. That'll be dropping the way we are playing this season as well.
  13. I couldn't get past the first episode of Vinyl and as no one else said anything particularly positive about it, I never tried. I watched Final Space over the weekend. A bit like Rick and Morty but not quite so mental and with an ongoing story. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
  14. Rondon's out so we're relying on Joselu for goals again.
  15. The Predator. Not quite what I was hoping for given that Shane Black wrote and directed but it's still an enjoyable action romp. The very end of it seemed a bit unnecessary though.
  16. Yeah the other top 4 chasing teams we played actually have a chance of making the top 4 so they were always going to be a tougher proposition.
  17. Can one of you mods not just lock this thread. I know I could easily ignore it but it just gets right on my tits to see some mug bump it every time he scores.
  18. New season of It's Always Sunny has started. Let's Make Paddy's Great Again!
  19. Obviously losing every toss hasn't helped them, but really it's been their batsmen's (Kohli aside) inability to deal with the conditions that has been the big difference as well as us have a few more bowling options with all rounders.
  20. I think India have had us in positions where they should have put us under real pressure but apart from Trent Bridge they've totally blown those chances. The first match where we won by about 30 runs was close but after they blew their chances fairly early on in the other two, it always seemed a knocking bet that we would win. In that sense I don't think it was really as close as it could have been or that some are saying it has been. And it's only really Kohli who's kept it at all close (in a batting sense as obviously their bowlers have done well).
