1. So, I am off into the city for a couple of pre-match pints and then hopefully to see Obagols first goals.
2. Tell her to go to ALDI and get this tbh.
3. Can't be arsed to read all that, sorry. 185812 Maybe someone can give a cheesy summary?
4. Aren't deals with mentally ill null and void in England?
5. 21 184560 or it might be 28! On a serious note, the fact that his squad number has not been confirmed makes me wonder if we are indeed in the market for another striker who may well end up with the no. 9 shirt with Martins taking 30? 184652 I think they confirmed during the match coverage that he will have number9 (after talking to Terry Mac I think).
6. You were only annoyed because you think Souness wasn't that bad...
7. I failed to invade Poland in the last five attempts. There you go, five facts for you.
8. What do you think of Kuffour? 184634 The same I said when we were linked to him about 18 months ago. I really love the bloke Kuffour as he is a phenomenal guy, but I don't think he will be suited to the Premierleage. He had a habit of making Bramblesque errors when rushed into quick decisions. Most famously knocking out Kahn once...
9. Gemmill's tackle on Isegrim was far worse tbh 184622 He tried to kill me IIRC, I definitely heard him shout 'Take this you penalty scoring Kraut bastard". I should report him to the police tbh.
10. I always liked Gravesen and think we should have signed him about five years ago, but we don't need him know as there are more important positions that desperately need strengthening. Having said this I am not too sure if Huth is the right player for Newcastle right now (and I really do rate Huth). Neither do I think that Newcastle are the right club for Huth at this stage of his career.
11. Poor Bremen, couldn't have gone in a worse group. So we'll see Klose in the UEFA Cup then...
12. Expected, that why I enjoyed the nive weather in a beer garden and only popped in for the second half.
13. According to German news reports (but not confirmed by the club yet) HSV have already signed the replacemen in Mathijsen, another Dutch international defender. Funny how HSV only needed a couple of days after the sell of both their central defenders to present the replacement...
14. I really love the British media - making shit out of nothing and always deliberately giving interviews a new meaning. Klose stated a couple of time in the lost two months that he would fancy playing abroad if the right club comes in. And he said that he knows that the club has to be right for him, but for Bremen either. He reckons that he will maybe be allowed to leave next year, Bremen's director of football Klaus Allofs gave a couple of hints too (including saying that a new contract could have a minimum fee release clause - something that the current one has not, whatever Anal O. keeps thinking).
15. The worst feeling you can have for a rival team - pity.
16. Well, I guess I know what we are eating at next year's summer piss up now...
17. I especially agree about Hasselbaink, he would have at least been some decent cover and eased the pressure on the striker front. Even with Martins we are still at least one striker short. 183213 I'm also still trying to work out the logic behind not making a move for Sol Campbell especially when what we have saved on Boumsongs wages would have paid for the majority of Sols. 183214 Well, I can sort of agree the argument that Campbell's fitness record over the last two seasons was a worrying point. I also worry that if we sign about 4-5 players in the end that with left wing (also I am glad to have Duff) and maybe central midfield two positions will be strengthened where we at least had some quality players. So that gives depth but doesn't really adress the problems in the squad.

19. A bastardisation of cheese tbh
20. I am not sure. I don't think the standard of the league doesn't matter at all, but that it is down to the individual. But I think that players from central European leagues and countries normally are more often able to adapt to the Premierleague than players who learnt their trades in Italy and Spain.
21. Don't make me at you. 183170 183173 So you believe that Roeder has been doing nothing all summer but pursue Damien Duff? Right-o. 183174 No, but I think that the way Newcastle did their transfer business this summer wasn't very smart and raises a lot of questions. So far with 9 days in the transfer to go we just have made one acquisition and lost 9 players when we had a squad that was already lacking depth last season.
22. Don't make me at you. 183170
23. I actually don't get where Chelsea's scouts get this "can play at left back, too" from. I am pretty sure Boulahrouz didn't play a single game at left back for HSV and only occasionally playing right back for the Dutch team. Maybe he is can play left wing as well?
24. 181613 Luque rather needs someone with a pitchfork in his hand alongside him who makes him run tbh
25. .com still list it as "tbc". But hopefully it's gone through. Anyway with Shola now being injured we need someone to play alongside whoever is supposed to come in.
