I read into it what I said above, more shares, more dividends, more pies ... I don't think Fat Fred has any other revolutionary plans...
-
That rule was established the day he was appointed tbh. 81319 Well, he could have overthrown this rule by proving his critics wrong (or making us eat humble pie as Hansen said)...
-
Or we won't sign him but will see him to move to a rival club where he is becoming the world GREAT©est goalscorer... ...then sign him several years later for an inflated price and he turns into shite.
-
Fat Fred has constantly increased his shares in the past, so there is nothing new. I cannot see any direct link between the purchase of shares and the lack of making transfer funds available. I somewhat doubt that there are any revolutionary plans in Fat Fred's pipeline, just that he probably wants to increase his annual dividends...
-
He bought another 700,000 shares today, up to 28% now...

I missed out on tickets so far. I tried it again by applying for tickets for Eng-Swe, NL-Arg, Bra-Aus, Cro-Aus, the 2nd round fixtures (involving Germany and/or England) and the semi-final in Munich. I guess I won't get a ticket again. In that case I have to look for some tickets from the prawn&sandwich brigade (i.e. sponsors, what I refused to do so far).

He's captain of his country and a proper player. 80003 And that's why we finally qualified for the world cup finals because he wasn't in the team! I think radioactive steve is the only Australian that actually rates Moore. 80345 I think even Stevo is taking the piss tbh. At least I hope so. 80489 Let's just say Steve would hump Swindon Mag's leg if latter became Aussies national manager...

Well, I am unsure about the way Anelka's stint with City ended. 'Le sulk' tried to instigate a move to a "bigger club". Part of it was declaring himself injured/unfit to play, something Keegan didn't believe... Now where I have heard this before? IMHO Anelka is the cross-breeding of Bellamy and Robert...

Proper player. GREAT © attitude, someone you want to have around in the dressing room bla bla

But what do you expect? Fat Fred coming out saying "yes, Owen isn't the happiest man here, because he only signed a contract as we were throwing so much money at him that he couldn't resist. Oh yes, and Shearer threatened to know his block off if he doesn't sign the contract." Owen probably is saying that he is now happy with his choice while he said to Eriksson that it wasn't his prefered choice (which you can interprete as "not being happy"). I actually don't care. 80074 Is Klinsman still living in California as an aside? If so, how is that going down back in Jormany? 80080 The same stupid outcry by the tabloid(s) (we have more or less only one major tabloid). He's never here bla bla he does not see the players bla bla. It was even worse when he brought some fitness coaches over from the US of A who criticized the fitness level of most players. I dread to think how big the media hysteria would be if we had as much red top papers as the UK...

There's little doubt O'Neil would be better than Souness, but I'm not that convinced about him. I think he's overhyped by the media, and so may not be as good as he's made out to be. 80062 I share this feeling. I rated him when he was at Celtic, but since has been out of job and the more I think about it he probably isn't the Messiah some people see in him. He would be a traditional choice and probably do well but I don't think it would be a progressive choice.

I think you'll find that was Albert Camus. 80042 Ah, you're right. And Mendieta won the Nobel prize in literature. I always mix it up.
-
Sums him up though, doesn't it? 80029 I think it's a typical Souness reaction, yes. Bullys can't stand criticism, in the same way that cowards can't face the music when they've ballsed up. Again. 80032 I seriously am at the point of believing FS has lost his marbles given his failure so far to sack this joker. I can accept a mistake in making the initial appointment, as bad as it was. However, the evidence of incompetence has been so strong for so long, I can only conclude ( and hope ) that FS really must have someone lined up who is not available until summer. The problem with waiting that long is that we might be relegated by keeping Souness. I'd like to see a caretaker manager installed at this point, the entire Souness crew booted out immediately. 80036 I agree; the risk of relegation is too great to ignore under Souness. I don't know what Shepherd is thinking about right now; surely he doesn't need more time to appreciate what a mistake he has committed? Also, there's the fact that each league position is worth £500,000 to us, so sacking him now could pay for itself. Even a caretaker manager could give us the boost we need. 80044 I have said for ages that due to the lack of an imminent replacement we should at least look at a caretaker. And I don't think it is the question of money. If Fat Fred doesn't want to pay the compensation at once, he should at least relieve Souness from his duties and hand the management of the first team over to Roeder who already is at Newcastle's payroll anyway. That would could nothing and only can improve Newcastle's position. I can't see how results and performances can get any worse.

I got the feeling Anal O. got a bit silenced (that's why I don't think Fat Fred is instigating a sacking of the tosser). After the tosser appeared on SSN an said where Anal O. could stick his help I was expecting a full blast of stories about the poor journalist getting attacked by some imcompetent member of Newcastle United yet again. I am also puzzled that there was no revenge live on TV.

You are excused, you had your Larry...
-
He certainly is a scapegoat. I don't think there is much difference between Chopra and Ameobi - only that latter has played around 150 games more. A chance Chopra (probably thankfully) never got. But are not Premiership material and should be nowhere near Newcastle's first team.
-
What is rather an indication of how poor Newcastle's performances have been recently...

Being second choice to Hughesinho. 79926 Fair point. He'll never get Aaron Pele out of that position tbh 79930 No shame in that though. What a player that lad is! 79939 Absolutely spot on. But still, this player is only a shadow of this other guy whose name I can't remember .. but I think he is the skipper of Betty Ford Center United.

Being second choice to Hughesinho.

Proper player who would give no shit... I think he got recommended to Souness by Rene Huigita and the Medellin cartel...
