The whole "who are you supporting?" is indeed extremely tedious. I am very excited about the tournament, though.

In 2006 they didn't have players purposely going in very hard with tackles. Or streakers for that matter, but that probably helped. That ageing side that won the World Cup are now two years older. I still fancy them to go far, but I also wonder whether they can. At the moment I'm considering betting on France and The Netherlands to progress.

I thought the "group of death" would be fairly straight-forward a few months ago, but having looked at the form tables and such, I think Italy may struggle. No Cannavaro and there's be a lot of trouble in the camp.

Dos Santos can't be that good if he is moving to Spurs from Barcelona. It also shows a lack of ambition.

I'd say a lot of the hype built up around Ronaldo is completely deserved, even if he does go missing in some big games.
