WWIII seems inevitable.

I've got a $200 bet going with my brother. I need to watch every single match. This is going to make me hate football, but for 200 bucks...
-
Better than actually watching England tbh.
-
Do you poms have the Coke world cup bottles, you know, the gold ones? I swear the coke tastes different... Ginger is right, can tastes much much better.

Fuck that woody my boy, what about us poor Australians that are going and yet you can't get a ticket out of those bastids at the FFA for love nor money! Go Koreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea! 142591[/snapback] That's exactly why I decided against going and trying to get a ticket there, and bought a widescreen tv instead. I'm using the change from the TV (about 2 grand) to go to Japan in August. Still would have liked to have gone to Germany but I'll get to South Africa if we qualify.
-
You all should feel sorry for us antipodes. 11pm, 2am and 5am kickoffs. The Australia-Brazil match is on at 2am in the middle of winter. God help those poor bastards that go to public squares to watch.

I'm off to Japan in a few months. Should I expect to see this crazy shit everywhere I go?

An important friendly starts in a few minutes

At times it felt like it. Fair play to the Greeks, they got behind Australia as well. It was a pretty dull atmosphere to be honest, for 95,000 people it was very quiet at times. By the way, Craig Moore was rock solid at the back. Fat Aussie Bastard didn't have the best of matches, although I may be biased, I'm not a fan of his, and I can't believe he's captain ahead of Moore. Manc, it's used for cricket about 7 days of the year. It's been called the MCG for 130 years. I'm just glad that after the reconstruction it wasn't renamed Vegemite Stadium. -

Here's some photos Approaching the stadium Greeks and their flares... National anthems Greece mount a late attack -
What great news to wake up to.

I have fallen victim to that assumption. Let's just say I was expecting a desert and got a jungle.
-
Should be after the WC and should NOT have featured Celtic. I fail to see the connection between the big fella and the bhoys. Should have invited Blackburn, adding Bellamy into the mix would have made it spicey.
-
Maybe he wants them in the CL instead of the Arse. Knowing Spurs they'll implode regardless, it's in their nature, and Arsenal will lose Henry and possibly others without CL football.
-
Given it looks like it'll be about $900 Aus I'll be getting a 360. They'll both b e about the same as each other in my mind. I'm no techno obsessive.
-
Do they have a disclaimer at the beginning of the bible?
-
I wouldn't put it past them. It's pretty pathetic but I suppose they haven't had much in recent history to celebrate, so we can allow them to obsess over a flukey result 6 years ago.
-
I'm still not sold on Roeder. Our performances against Man U, scousers Cheslea and Charlton were very poor. I want a manager who can gee us up against the big clubs.
-
Surely he could play the last 5 minutes of the Cheslea match? If i recall, Le Tissier suffered a similar injury a few games out from the end of the season, came on at the end of the last match against arsenal, and scored the winner.
-
Knew this would happen. They get relegated then come out to play with nothing to lose. Hopefully the cream will rise to the top but this is football...

Russia will never reach our level Fact is though the vodka skollers have plenty of talent but for years have been held back by bad managment from every level(much like Aust really). Hiddink will change this. I don't disagree that hiddink goes where the money is, but his talent warrants it. And just as much as chasing roubles, he enjoys a big challenge. I wish he was going to be the Newcastle manager.
-
He may be a mercenary but he's also possibly the best manager in the world. Russia will most likely be a power within the next 4 years.
-
I heard a rumour that Hiddink would definately be managing in England next season. This was a good 2 months ago though. He still has the Dutch Cup final as far as i know, so expect MON.

HOLY CAMOLY - Aussies sphincters must be puckering

I only care about our cricket team when they suffer embarassing loses (Ashes etc), and this is magnificant The media are sharpening the knives already!
