Basically SD are getting it for nowt on the assumption it will open the doors for a deal with someone else. Times point out that Northern Rock deal (worth about £2M per year) is due to end and a deal including the stadium name would be nearer £8M per year. While I agree that makes sense as far as raising funds goes and also I agree that we aren't the first and wont be the last (Chelsea, Spurs et al), we'll still call it SJP.

they do, but some teams are hit much harder than others. for example, looking at Physio room at the min, Wigan have 1 injury there while we have 5. Also depends on how they are spread. If you had 5 centre halves injured that will hit you worse than if it was spread around.

So long as we can stay within that group then I think it will have been a fantastic year. I dont see any of those teams dropping out of the top 7 so we just need to stay in there. According to the news this morn, it costs around £4B a year. No idea how that compares. They also said most of it cant be traced due to the cost and man power it takes to do so. Boils my piss like, more so those that really take the piss. Can you really blame those simply on the dole though and not making an effort to find work? Where's the incentive when they are often worse off? Obviously this is different to benefit fraud. Thats more like the bloke who claims he cant work due to a dodgy back, gets benefits for it and sails around the world on his yacht.

Thats the thing now. At the start of the season Id have said top 10 would have been progress and cemented our status as a mid table side. But with the start we have had, 9-10th would be disappointing. I know we wont sustain top 4 or anything daft like that, but I'd think 7th has to be a realistic target whether that gets is into Europa or not. Plus, I dont think we are equipped for any European cup run anyway, not with such a thin squad.
