I dont mind Pardew in comparison to who we have had in recent years (thinking Sam, Souness, JFK mostly) but with what he has had at his disposal I do wonder about him at times and more importantly I can see the hierarchy thinking the same. In his defence, he wasnt backed in the summer and I have no doubt if we had brought the same players in sooner we'd be safe by now.

I hate and relish the derbies in equal measure. But currently I'm filled with more of a "fuck em" feeling. We've been through the mill over the start of the Ashley regime and only recently have we started to turn things around and steady the ship. In that time they have (rightly) been pissing themselves at our expense. Now its nice to see them getting a bit tbh. PDC coming in and so on with the negative press that goes with it, the infighting over it, the party with marty the whole holier than thou circus they are becoming. Seeing them whimper just above the drop is a pleasure in itself but I think a boot on their head pushing them under would sign them off just nicely. Now if we were wearing that boot in our next game then all more pleasure. Fuck em.

I think of all the players, (worth anything) I can see HBA being shipped out to raise some funds. I know I read recently we are looking to move on some players that are not cutting it like Obertan and Amalfitano and Gosling. I cant see a swap for AC being on the cards though, I reckon HBA is worth double AC and would much rather we kept hold. Inbound a forward is a must maybe even two as Im not sure how long Shola will trundle on.

Well, today was the end of the current training prog and I start a slightly different route in a week. So Ive made a right pig of myself the night on pre-easter chocolate, hot crossed buns, mini-eggs and the like. Lush

You dont understand fat loss then Bowl of cereal in the morning with milk, call it 300 cals and the same on an evening another 300 cals and milk in coffee (when I was drinking latte) 500 cals per day is 3500 per week. If you drop that below your maintenance you lose 1lb of fat per week. I knocked about 800 cals a day off by doing that maybe more. Different days I was likely 500-1000 cals a day less. That was the difference between my weight not changing and moving into a calorie deficit and losing fat. Plus I lost any bloating I had which I now think was down to a degree of lactose intolerance.

BIggest thing for me was cutting out milk and cutting wheat down by about 80%. That was the difference between sitting at 15 1/2 st despite training and getting down to 12 9.

BMI is bollocks like, but I see its use for someone who wakes up one day and thinks "am I obese?". On another note, Im down to 12st 13lb and around 13-14% BF. Prob best shape Ive been in now bar none. Not too bad for a 40/41yr old.
