  1. Nowt special that Ive seen of him like
  2. He is saying nothing to suit himself. If he had declared that he wanted to leave, but then nobody came in for him, how do you think he would be treated here? Not very well. However, if he says nothing, whatever happens, he wins. Shay Given wants to leave this season, as does Steven Taylor. Source? Same source that says Owen wants to leave.
  3. He's had so many chances here and failed to deliver each time bar the odd inspired game. Still, Id have him stay until he was replaced though. Im happy enough to see what Sam can get out of him at the moment.
  4. I'm gonna be selling my Gym gear if anyone was interested. Would have to be collection only like (Gateshead). Basically weights, bars, bench (with leg attachment), frame (smith machine type) etc. Id also prob hoy in there my gym (spinning) bike and floor mats. Got my garage set up as a gym at the mo, gathering dust like Might gather some old books and cd's, is that kinda stuff worth putting on ebay? Ive only ever bought off it before, never really sold.

  7. Wonder if this has any connection? * Click *
  8. Perhaps, but every fecker is telling it. I claim first! (so hang my head in shame)....
  9. Now hey, its still not funny no matter how many people post it!
  10. It was shit when I said it as well
  11. The local Muslim cleric is confused as he insists its not yet Ramadam....
  12. Is that the real Mrs Beckham or a shop dummy? Mind, not much difference like...
  13. Blaydon Races with the right lyrics? I wonder if the manager has an input into the tune they run out to? Im still all for keeping local hero etc. In fact, its just the shite premier league tune that does my head in.
  14. Lets just hope we're going the way we all hope.
  15. With the Bolton game being away, I reckon he'd be looking for us to be solid more than having attacking flair. With that in mind and with Viduka not being around, I reckon we might see 4-5-1 with Owen on his own supported by Milner/Dyer on the wings and Emre/Butt/Barton in the centre. If not, then swapping Butt for Martins up front with Owen. If he did go 433, it would be interesting to see us have Owen, Martins and Shola up front with Milner, Barton & Dyer in the centre. Thats just looks too flimsy for me though so I doubt it.
  16. Certainly going to be an interesting season. A few teams have a new structure though how effective each's will be remains to be seen. For us, as things stand, Id like to see us get into the top 8. Last season when we were getting beat, it wasnt just the result but the way we played, the general overall mood. This season coming, Id hope if we got beat, we could see why and know the manager knew what he was doing to improve/head in the right direction. I'd not be so quick to right Arsenal off though. Like all teams, there is still a while before the start of the season and plenty to happen. As much as Id like to see us fighting for 4/5th against maybe Arsenal, Spurs - I think we need a few new faces before we are able to do that, and of course see how Sam has us playing.
  17. My plan yesterday, leave the house and 6AM, get to my meeting around 10:30AM (in Corby), leave it around 2PM and get home around 6PM. What happens? I drive down the A1 and get stuck for two hours north of Grantham due to a puddle across the A1, I get there around 12:30PM. I set of from there at 4PM but decide to avoid the A1 this time by coming up via Leicester and onto the M1 then up through Leeds via .... Sheffield. I got home at 10:30PM ....
  18. 1. Hayfever nose still bugging me 2. Nowt on tv and Ive been through my sky+ stuff 3. Decided to practice guitar for a bit 4. Reckon chords C7, Dm7 & F were thought up by freaks with dislocated fingers 5. Have a sore knee (or whatever behind the knee is) from my walk yesterday
  19. Thing is though, its all very well us saying why dont we just get Baines/Bridge etc, but of course that player wants to come here as well and of course it matters who else is in for that player. I would take Riise as I think he would improve what we have. But naturally there are others. I would rather have Bridge for example to name one. Should we be turning our nsoe up at Riise? No. But if we had the option of someone better first, then of course. Still, on the OP, would we take Bellamy and Riise for Owen? I'd say no. Bellamy isnt the goalscorer he likes to think he is. Id rather keep Owen and buy a decent LB.
  20. Hmmm, Riise or Babayaro/anynumberofoutofpositionplayers-abix ... tough one like aye
