I think the best for both would be for him to at least see things out until the winter break. That way, while he is fit, he will get a better chance to see where we are going, and Sam to see if he fits into his plans. If Sam is thinking of his usual 4-3-3 then I'd have thought Viduka supported by Owen/Martins could be canny. Of course, trouble with waiting until Winter is that if he did leave then, and we were using him, we'd need to find a replacement sharpish (or expect to see Dyer etc up there).

Anyone go to Killington Lake services on the M6 southbound? Its up in Cumbria. The Costa there is full of them. Not sure where exactly. Had a coffee from there and when they say "enjoy your coffee" in that harsh European accent it almost sounds like a threat "You Veell Enjoy Zee Koffee"

Dunwich Horror. I went through the Sci-fi and horror channels in Sky+ recently and saved a few films. Got round to watching a few inc this one (based on HP Lovecraft book). One problem with some full backs in tackling is their tendancy to go down while tackling, as in slide in etc. Biggest problem there is you take yourself out of the game. Dyer has pace and providing he stays on his feet, could be an interesting option at RB. Going forward he could certainly be an asset. Coming back he needs to be tought about position more than tackling. It would be interesting for us to have options at the back like that. For away from home when you want to be more defensive, you have him on the bench with a defensive RB starting, but at home if you want to be more offensive you swap to Dyer. As someone said, his versatility is a good thing. (yeah ma, I can run in left circles AND right!). Dyer could be a cracking player if he could put his pace to good use. Im currently bordering on had too many chances / give him one more chance.

I was upt' hills at the weekend and passed a canny spot. Up towards Wooler to the Breamish Valley (Cheviots). There is a river runs down the valley and was a few people sticking tents up around there. Takes under an hour to get there. Or Planky Mill just watch out for the pit bulls (not the dogs, but the other end of the lead usually )
