    There is such an echo chamber now between the populist Tory policies of the day (immigrants, grooming gangs, trans rights, 30mph zones, electric cars etc) and the right wing papers/GB news lot that report on it, that they're cognitively dissonant to the fact that 80% of the country couldn't give a fuck about most of that and are more interested in interest rates, the NHS, the Brexit mess etc. Long May it continue. Most moderate Tories have left the cabinet and most of the senior ministers left are 1% ers and on a different fucking planet. Dom Cummings is a cunt, but he knew how to read the room most of the time

    He's all over Facebook claiming he was hard done to and it was just "banter" texts. I mean it's not easy to get into the police, and I know for a fact it's hammered into you what you can and can't do when it comes to accessing the PNC/breaching confidentiality etc. It makes you wonder what goes through peoples heads sometimes. The last 2 years of his career binned off for "banter"

    He posted details of the arrest on 3 different WhatsApp groups (before it was public knowledge) and then logged into the case file on the police computer despite not being involved in the arrest. Not sure who advised him he would get a reprimand, but I'd have been very surprised if they let him continue working after that.
