  1. Francis has been appointed to the job Wikipedia says he’s been doing since 2021 Hughes is working his notice. Sounds like Francis has been persuaded to stay…
  2. Shearer didn’t fancy Les Ferdinand as a strike partner?…surprised at anyone saying that. I thought Shearer was on record as saying LF was one of his favourite strike partners?… he always wanted someone to do his donkey work iyam…Dowie, Newell,Sutton, Ferguson etc etc..,
  3. I think a lot of transfers both in and out under Dalglish and Souness are deeply fuckin suspicious. Probably the fag end of the English “brown envelope” era
  4. NME top singles from 1990…something for everyone
  5. Final word on Liverpool’s controversial winner at Forest
  6. So I think this might be a good season not to qualify for the CL 😆
  7. We basically haven’t played with a fit striker since before Christmas. We’ve scored a lot of goals in that time, keeping them out has been the problem for reasons done to death on here. It’s the best midfield outside the top three when all are fit. Mad to break it up. But David, as always, your opinion gets my respect 👊🏻
  8. Ok make the opposite case. Why is s it better to lose Bruno than Isak?
  9. Yeah it’s only the press where this narrative is coming from. But having to buy two strikers is basically the same as buying a top class midfielder and a striker..
  10. If we’re going to have to lose a top player this summer I’d sell Isak tbh . We really don’t give him enough service for him to display his huge talent and our midfield/ wide players score goals for fun
  11. “seen any tanks round here?” ”yeah what colour do you want?”
  12. Never read Joyce, but Spike Milligan used the same phrase in his seminal war time memoir “Rommel?/Gunner who?”
  13. Beat Chelsea a week tomorrow and them in April and we will Very unlikely to catch Spurs or Villa, they play each other next weekend, Villa win that and 4th is nailed on..
  14. Not a village. A Burgh of the “Danelaw”878-927 CE so hasn’t been for a fuckin long time
  15. It was a huge field for a hurdles race at a non elite course, 17. This was very likely due to the sponsors boosting the prize fund so it paid more than the equivalent (2 mile) hurdles race at National Hunt’s premier racing festival at Cheltenham later this month. As far as I could make out all horses finished. Morebattle Hurdle named after this rural backwater https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/yetholm/morebattle/index.html#google_vignette
  16. Don’t know if this has been posted on here before but I seem to remember people questioning the impartiality of those who compiled it it’s like a “black ops” counter propaganda campaign https://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/_/id/38196464/how-var-decisions-affect-premier-league-club-2023-24
  17. What they put up on the board is only advisory. Not seen it but Isegrim said yesterday that the time added on was legit. Think we’d feel the same as Forest but they did have 80 secs to defend better before Nunez scored apparently. It’s like Eddie’s first reaction to Diaz’s winner last season at Anfield… “we should’ve defended the corner better” ..
  18. Does anyone else have a major race named after the village they were brought up in? 😀
  19. It’s only his nephew if you’re talking behind the scenes he’s not signed anyone from Bournemouth
