Didn't really mean you personally like, just seems the general consensus in this thread. Strange surge of confidence from you lot. Don't see why we shouldnt be confident, we're at home and you've failed to beat Liverpool,Wigan,West Ham (you were at home too, theyre fuckin shit mate ) and Blackburn. Yes youve had some decent results too. But fuck all to be scared of to be honest.

Leaves you a bit short in the middle like, especially considering we're playing 5 in there. Man City did as well and Tiote did the work of 3 men against them....made that yo yo gadgie look like an overpaid shithouse and de Jong wasn't too keen to mix it with someone who can take care of themsleves either, the big fuckin girls blouse. If he wasn't so supernaturally stupid I'd rate Cattermole quite highly as a footballer. Can he be trusted not to do something daft on Sunday? Henderson is good too, but neither them nor Malbranque or any else in your midfield is going to score a goal to help you win the match. Thats why you're only one point ahead of us, despite money spent in recent years dwarfing our championship style budget, not to mention our season actually in the championship. Now do you still think you're going to qualify for Europe? We've never once thought we were going to qualify for Europe, or at least none of my mates have even thought of it! Cattermole will have be completely drilled into keeping calm against you lot, no doubt about it, it'll be the final straw with him if he gets a red. Henderson is always calm no matter what the occasion, mind you he can't wait for this one, buzzing in fact. Not sure why you lot seem so confident. You're making it seem that we're shit, far from it, and we'll be the best opposition you've played at home this year if you ignore last night in the cup. Should be a cracking game, can't wait. Well hardly, I said you've got good players but alluded to the fact that your team hasn't got a lot of goals in it. I think it'll be a draw on Sunday. Either side could win it though, and lets face it you lot winning at our place is hardly uncommon. Think I've seen it 3 times myself.

We are only 1 point ahead of you because we have had a FAR harder start than Newcastle. We have played Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa and Blackburn. Yourselves... well I don't need to remind you of the games at home to Blackpool and Stoke do I? We have lost just 1 game against a team who have went and hammered Arsenal at the emirates. Jeez aye, and you're still only a point ahead of us but touchy tonight though but.....anyone would think you're nervous about playing the likes of us.....we're fuckin rubbish after all

Shearer was indulged by Shepherd ,Souness and Roeder to keep playing on beyond his time of being truly effective in the team just to break Jackie Milburn's goalscoring record. I've always had a sneaking suspicion that Shearer was involved in Bellamy's exit from NUFC...didn't he sign a new contract around that time to continue playing after he had announced his retirement? Nowt to base it on but my own prejudices, but I wouldn't put it past him. "The club is bigger than one player, whoever it is" was said more than once last week about Rooney, but for the biggest example of that being only partly,if at all, true is towards the end of Shearer's playing career. I think Bellamy would've been an obstacle to him breaking the record before he completely ran out of steam. When I look at the scenes from Shearer's testimonial I think I'm pretty much in a minority among us in thinking that but if Bellamy had been kept at the club post 2005 and the team had been arranged around him we wouldnt have been looking at relegation 4 years later.

Apparently Titus won't be facing charges over this.....his brother remains on police bail though http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...m.html?ITO=1490

Scottish Herald, reporting on Prime Minister Browns visit to his local ship builders in Scotland..... Just to avoid doubt. What's that got to do with the aircraft carriers again? Because Brown has used the same termination clauses to avoid the incoming government being able to cancel the orders. You've got it the wrong way round.....it would be BAE who insisted on the clauses being inserted. They are the closest thing to a nationalised industry we have left. A little known fact is that any contract they take on for any foreign government is guaranteed by the British taxpayer. We stump up the money if the contract tender price is exceeded beyond a certain level. And we keep on paying...and on and on. And you can imagine how easy it is to make a contract hit that magic point?....or if a government doesn't want a certain product after all: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbys...-ship-deal.html key phrase here:

Didn't Chris Mort and Redknapp both confirm they had actually had a meeting, and then when Redknapp turned us down (as even he could see Ashley wasn't going to finance a multi million pound player spending spree as long as he had a hole in his arse) Mort said he wasnt offered the job?...because if you're not going to bother to do due dilligence and then sack a manager in the middle of a tranfer window with no successor lined up, are you actually going to meet a top manager (whatever folks may say, Redknapp has ability as a manager) with a vacant posistion available and take your time in your deliberations?...

Wayne Rooney declares his intention to walk out on Manchester United
PaddockLad replied to khay's topic in Newcastle Forum
"That's it, Fergie, I'm gonna put some wax on the tracks and slide on outta here, with Marco, Merrick, Terry Lee, Gary Tibbs and your truly" Way too much knowledge for a casual fan, I'll bet you a pint theres a part of the Howman bunker thats a complete shrine to the cockney big girls blouse/post punk fruit loop -
Who is going to want to employ somebody who is termianlly bone idle anyway? and more to the point in these hard times, where are all the fuckin jobs for them to fill? anyone tried to find decent even part time work lately? Philip Green advising the coalition on how to save money across Whitehall departments: "get the misuss to move to Monanco and put your government department in her name and you'll save a fuckin fortune in tax, it worked a treat for me with Arcadia"

It used to be the wmc at the other side of the ground but I think they banned away fans from there a few years back, I havent been in there for ages now which is a shame as it was cheap and easy to get to the ground from. If you didnt have colours on you could probably still get in there, afterwards as well. Get off the tube at Plaistow but for fucks sakes dont go to the Victoria Tavern down the road and over the bridge from the station...a load of us turned up there a couple of years back and it was like a BNP meeting...got loads of grief from the locals, yet the year before I took the then missus in and was made welcome. Go past that shithole and down to the next one on the same street, the name of which escapes me at the moment, but if you get a kicking from the lads stood outside the Tavern dont blame me That pub is called the Black Lion and its about 10 mins walk from upton park...just follow the locals http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/comments.shtml/16998/ Or you could try the Duke of Edinburgh on Green St, turn left out of the tube station..

We went to Phuket for a wedding the same year as the tsunami and landed right at the start of what they hilariously call "the vegetarian festival"...this appeared to entail some scary looking hicks from the hills wacked off their nuts on the local dope sat on the back of pick up trucks with various barbrcue and butchery impliments inserted about their person. Nothing says "WELCOME TO PHUKET" like a bamboo hut dweller with a machete through his cheek, as I'm sure the local tourist board would agree

De Jong went through the player to get to the ball, play is waved on...same as Williamson for the pen, and Willo also got a booking (why wasnt it a red? last man etc?) Fuckin dreadful refereeing, amongst the worst I've seen in 25 years

Randomly, when we played Palermo we were sat on the bus coming into the city from the airport and we got speaking to this lad who claimed to be Malcom Allen's nephew, who said his uncle was a coke crazed piss heed who had just been declared bankrupt. Wasn't Malcy in the news for something or other a while ago?

Looks like the unions didnt want Davey boy and his new labour background. Which I pretty much agree with. But it looks like the only type of person the rest of the country want as an actual or potential PM is a smooth talking PR man with no principles who doesn't give a fuck about anything as long as he can get middle England to vote for him. On a side note, I'm waiting for Sir Digby Jones and the rest of the "business community" to get their quills out to supply their no doubt concerned opinions to the national press in the run up to VAT going up to 20% in January in the same way as they did when Labour wanted to increase employer's national insurance contributions......if anythings going to cause a "double dip" its likely to be that as far as I can see. But I won't hold my breath. It'll be ok for EM to be called a union puppet but when businessmen use the media to scare the public into votiing for who they want in it barely raises a murmur.

Paid a tenner to some mackem on turnstile 11 at the Roker end....100s were doing it, we were told "10 or 11" so there were at least two mackems pleased to see us that day Never seen that before, it looks incredible when you compare it to a lot of club's clap-a-thons when theres a goal scored nowadays....if anyone was too young for the terraces I feel a bit sorry for you...most weeks they were great in a tragic sort of way (did we complain much pre Hillsborough? ) but some for some games like this one it was just fuckin magic
-
Perhaps we should ignore the par for the course banalities the bloke has trotted out to the media and look at how he's actually played?......he's not exactly been found wanting has he? Man of the Match in a couple of games for some people on here. Good premier league centre back iyam.
