Make it clear that he can forget about playing for the dippers for at least three years, and also add any of the big foreign clubs, PSG, Madrid,etc to the list. His options should be 1. Stay here, rot, train alone, for three years. That’s it.

I think you’re being a little unfair here- it’s not the var ref’s fault we didn’t put enough in the bribe. When you compare the tackle that saw Gordon sent off to, say, the tackle that nearly snapped Bruno’s leg, or, ooooh, the textbook elbow to the head on Tino (I think) that went unpunished, it’s clear that we simply need to up our bribery game and all will be fair. It was a red, technically, but we’ve all seen players from the “Big Six” do far worse and get away with it. I honestly can’t see Eddie giving him any grief over this, and nor should he.
