too slow, never good enough in the premier league. rakitic is a good good player. srna is more of a wing back. some good players there nonetheless.
-
he wouldn't though. thats what a lot of people like about him. its sad really, because he's widely respected and with martin Jol would have made for a really good coach with Jol as manager. as it is we've got Pardew and massive uncertainty.

gives us an immobile lump up front.... ok...?

Who is your favourite non-newcastle player
tinofbeans replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
current: xavi or Iniesta retired: savicevic or prosinecki I've chosen players i've wanted to emulate from the past and the players that do what i do on a football field nowadays in the present. if i'd have chosen a forward stevies choices would have been my players. van basten was a great great player and fat ronaldo's still good enough. class being permanent and all that. -
No need Kevin. Get back to jacking off into your burgers!

i need more than that mate.

hmmmn. i don't know. how many european cups/ champions leagues did maradona win. but then again how many world cups did messi win...
-
enrique? i know not in the same position..... but alll the same.
-
hopefully get rid of that best bloke. fucking shite. we need a mobile second striker, and a winger or creative player, a left back for cover.... quite a few really.
-
I find this all pretty crackers to be honest. I mean if I were an opposition coach I'dknow how to switch our team off, nullify Barton. Without his creativity we are fucked to be honest. look at the other options. Jonas. can't cross or pass. routledge. runs into blind alleys very rapidly. ben arfa. can only use one leg * currently* guthrie. not good enough.

her hairdo was laughable on saturday. this coming from a man that can be best described as "thinning"

Barellcos. I sound like an STD. great.
-
maybe. his mobility ( same with david villa) would cause defences more problems. barca's team last year did well in spite of ibra. they missed eto'o last year and replaced him with an almost like for like (in villa). the 3 forwards of barca must cause havoc as they are all very quick and skilful.

absolutely. Couldn't agree more. better passer, better dribbler, better tactical dribbler, more effective in the box. can beat 3/4 players with ease. not a show pony, wasteful with the football permatanned cunt. if you know what i mean. they are the 2 best players in world football, but there are leagues between them. literally.

I don't take anything about America seriously, let alone some "Buck Buzzslinger" type journalist writing about the sport. Messi never showboats does he? Ronaldo every time for me, more versatile, more valuable to the team. It is the popularist view to say Messi is the better player though, I concede that. Not popularist, in my opinion. its based upon fact, though for some reason the man utd side that had ronaldo, would very possibly have performed worse with messi in as his replacement based on a couple of incredibly important factors at the time. 1) messi had injuries that year and wasn't quite the player he is now. 2) the manchester utd side had players performing at their peak or close to it that season. Nowadays Ronaldo is a paradox, technically the most gifted player on the planet, yet so very frustrating. As for sid lowe, he's probably one of the most widely respected writers in soccer journalism. always a great read. not quite Hugh Mcilvanney however.

The Annual How's Your Other Team Doing Thread
tinofbeans replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Napoli are 3rd in the league. we really could do with lavezzi, hamsik and maybe cavani. all outstanding players. -
Messi every time. teams win games, he's the ultimate team player, completlely unselfish. players like ronaldo would make you do your conkers. honestly. not on the same level. too greedy, too showboaty! too arrogant. having said that if madrid wanted to loan him here, he's just a bit better than what we have!

We would've murdered them in the final. Cameroon deservedly beat them with 9 men in the opening game. All they had was a declining Maradona, and Canniggia. A team of hatchet men, and maradona running on one ankle. canniggia was fast but not much else. if only we'd have won that semi final.. in reality the football that was played during that tournament was pretty dire, and the 3rd place play off should have been the final. as for messi, he is the best player in world football at the moment, not just because of his strike rate, but because of his ability to pick a pass, he's assisted 2 or 3 goals in each of the last few league games and has scored roughly a goal a game in la liga this year. contrast him with c ronaldo who's game revolves pretty much around shooting from anywhere to get his goals.... and doesn't create as many goals for teammates.

thats about it. charlie adam is pretty much a younger version of barton. immobile, can pass and playmake. he's unlike barton in that he's not a good tackler. bartons not bad at tackling. both have decent dead ball delivery. both are innefective out wide, because of their lack of speed.

stella was seen as a safe pair of hands. she'll be good for sugar, and viglen. i reckon bordon liked her a lot as well. felt sorry for chris, his team fucked up. that shibby was a complete nobhead. he presented well. did a good job and will probably end up getting a job with sugar in any case!
