  1. wigan do tend to get some fairly decent players. danny would agree on palacios (who looks very tidy). valencia and rodellega and one of their other new signings look very good players. I don't know much about their scouting network but its got them into the top half of the table.
  2. the mans a multi millionare, i reckon as hes not retired from australia's squad yet, that he will continue at a top flight club. he needs this to be able to get into the australia team, and i reckon next season he will be here. and putting in roughly 5 good performances before the summer.
  3. i hope they do leave. pretty much everyone ITK about F1 has stated the governing body had a silent T on the end (they are called the FIA for those that don't know).
  4. well done to Burnley. hope they go up. look like a good-ish footballing side.
  5. we need a more mobile midfield, that can keep the ball as well. I agree with the general consensus that if the midfield were better, our back 4 would possibly be the best we've had in a while. however, beye ain't getting any younger, enrique hasn't got adequate cover (though duff did play well against the smog) and is habitually injured. forwards. owen, viduka and martins are also habitually injury prone and likely to miss at least a 3rd of the season, they need quality cover and or competition.
  6. shackle murphy. if he doesn't get on the ball then they rely on their non creative players. they are good on the break as well, their forwards except zamora are all fairly rapid. .... we'll have our work cut out against them.
  7. cisse and jones can't stand each other apparently. ...
  8. If we stay up and he's got an agent with the lad's best long-term interests at heart, another season here at least is just what he needs. Sadly, I think you're right though. He's off to arsenal in the summer if we go down. if we stay up he deserves a new contract and a decent partner alongside him. He was great at winning headers last night and was very imposing. gets rid when he needs to but is not a footballing centre half. which actually is to his great credit because he doesn't mince around on the ball!
  9. 1 harper, can't communicate. poor for the goal. not quite good enough 2 beye, played well post the og. but is a fading force. too slow. 3 duff. stuck to his task well but offered not enough going forward..... 4 bassong. no nonsense. did well 5 taylor, good goal and plyed fairly well. 6 butt. cannot pass the ball and the game passes him by. 7 jonas, weirdly non effective. no end product. 8 guthrie, used the ball fairly well. nice corner for the 1st goal. 9 nolan. set up 2 goals but was too peripheral all game... needed to get involved more 10 owen, not in the game enough. 11 viduka. played his socks oof. really good. 12 martins, good goal , but still is not 100% 13 lovenkrands. offers pace and good goal. hides from the physical side of the game. 13 carroll, erm not good enough.
  10. 5 years ago and properly motivated, he'd have been great for 20 games a season at full ability. he's had 3 or 4 really good games in 2 years for us. shocking.
  11. footy 3 times a week. rugby training once and if i'm picked then rugby on saturday afternoons. run twice a week. used to do jujitsu. not any more. trouble with all of this is i'm always knackered!
  12. Surely not? I forgot about the betting scandal, but it's embarrassing how many decisions they get. Milan had two penalty claims which were more valid than any of the Chelsea ones, both denied. true enough the old lady (juve) get a fair few things go for them. some time ago the premiership was regarded as an early retirement home for serie a "stars" nowadays it seems serie A is a holiday home for la liga's has-beens. Well Ronaldinho.... and beckham. Pirlos been shit all season... surprised that beckham isn't taking more free kicks.
  13. at all levels (except the crowds of people that keep paying their hard earned cash to support the team home and away) Newcastle united is not good enough. if however we beat boro tomorrow and scrape enough points together, then we can rebuild. this team as is next season will not be any better.
  14. http://forum.watmm.com/index.php?showtopic=45499 that's them then. nice arse...
  15. maybe they should go back to the old format. champions league! ha! its all about power, corruption and lies!
  16. actually for corinthians he's doing really well. they've won the state championships because of his goals. I agree with stevies comments. at his best was completely unplayable.
  17. looks a lot better without the northern rock logo.
  18. it seems he's rather stuck in his ways. mate of mine said at qpr he built his side around not losing first..... as opposed to playing progressive football....
  19. He's off to Sunderland, well, them or Bayern Munich. I'm sure it's a tough choice. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...s-Van-Gaal.html fair play. wherever he's gone he's been a success. bit of an egomaniac by all accounts.
  20. he peaked at 20(at barcelona)! his goalscoring prowess has pretty much still been 1 in every other game (career average) even now.

    Jonas

he's an irregular starter for the argies. more of a wing back than a winger. relies on decent movement to get his ball in for the forward, and thats why he's not suited to us.
